Not a short stroll as advertised - it’s in the middle of an estate (not so nice ) Make you pay £££ deposit or no check in details Make you sign this ridiculous document also to say if they had to take deposit off you because of damage- you can’t leave them a negative review! Got signs everywhere to remind you not to make noise/ switch off lights etc - doesn’t make us feel relaxed Strange smell in games room and first floor...

"We stayed at the hotel last night and had a great experience. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady working in the spa today and David at the front desk. We had a small problem with our first room, but David was amazing and sorted everything out quickly by moving us to another room with no hassle at all. His customer service really made a difference to our stay. Overall, we had a lovely visit and would definitely stay again!"

"Rooms had very little sound insulation, was woken up multiple times in the night with doors banging, someone in the interconnecting room switched the TV on ridiculously loud at 1am and then was woken in the morning by someone being sick multiple times in the neighbouring room. Won’t stay again.."

"Excellent check in with friendly staff. The room was mostly clean just a little unclean under the sink in the bathroom on the tiles in room 109. The bathroom flooded when using the shower and this was not just me as the wood on the bottom of the door was expended so suggests is a normal practice. The bathroom also had a wire attached to the radiator above the bath that did not look well covered. So no issues with the room but bathroom needs some love overall. Great facilities - we used the sauna and pool but we could have played tennis if staying longer. Overall 4/5 stars for me."

Great Fosters - A Small Luxury Hotel

"After a shaky start the stay at Great Fosters was good. The hotel was full on my first night and unfortunately the room is been allocated had several issues. The staff were unable to move rooms but reassured me I'd be moved first thing in the morning. The second room was much better and the change over was handled well. A good measure of a hotel is how they handle when things go wrong, and the team at Great Fosters stepped up and made it right. The other aspects of Great Fosters are excellent. Both restaurants are very good, having eaten in the Grill first night and Tudor Pass the second. Food and service in both were great. The pool area is really special, a huge outdoor heated pool in a very chic setting, reflecting the style and famous guests of the 40s and 50s. The gardens are immaculate and a real joy to walk around. Car parking is good, and I made use of the electric chargers - though they are a little hidden. Overall a very good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. A good spot just outside London, close to Heathrow, and somewhere I will definitely consider for flights to and from there."

"Amenities are very good. Sauna, Steam room and Family swimming. However, not so soundproof. People stamping and running around on corridors. Group gym starts early and you can hear the music from even 2 floors up. Paid extra for comfort but seems like it was better off booking at Travelodge, at least I expect less. Shower poorly maintained. Mould formation on the. shower."
