「Great location, wonderful friendly staff, comfy beds, plenty of parking and great breakfasts. Only downside was the height of the bathroom ceiling, but we were in the loft space with a great view of the river.」
「Great hotel, modern, comfortable and clean room if a little on the small size. Food was good but would like more menu choice as there aren't really any alternative places to eat nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful.」

I love the quirky old fashioned styling but it's done in a modern way.
The menu seemed basic but the quality of the food was fantastic everybody should try the prawns starter !!!
Two dislikes
Coffee machine in room too small difficult to use.
The noise of extractor fans outside the windows was a constant drone but okay if you're used to noise and not from the quiet countryside.

「This was a great spot to stay on our first night in Exeter! It's right in the center of town so you're really close to everything. There's also a pub downstairs/next door which was convenient. We had a minor plumbing issue the first night, but the hotel was able to take care of it. I would stay here again!」
「We stayed in the garden suite. It was lovely. My only criticism would be that one of the legs on the futon in the living room area was broken. Our Daughter said the bed in the smaller bedroom wasn't very comfortable so we used spare duvets and a blanket to make it more comfortable. The small garden area was ideal for our dogs to be able to give them some space to toilet etc. The food in the pub was very nice, my only criticism would be the lack of vegetarian options. Overall we enjoyed our stay....

「Very impressed. Although the room was a bit dated it was spotlessly clean. The garden and views are very impressive and the staff were helpful. Lovely buffet breakfast and the swimming pool area was very modern. We used it twice and had it to ourselves! I'd put it above 3 stars.」
