Welcome to our exquisite 4000 square foot 4-bedroom, 4-bath + den mountain retreat on 15 acres that promises an unforgettable getaway for you and your group. Nestled in the heart of nature, this peaceful oasis offers breathtaking views of the mountains that will leave you in awe.

Imagine walking through the front door of this exquisite Crested Butte retreat, nestled on a sprawling 15-acre lot adjacent to the National Forest. The first thing that greets you is the undeniable sense of elegance and attention to detail. Hardwood floors stretch out before you, leading you into the heart of the home.

As you step further inside, you'll find yourself in the open-concept living space, seamlessly connecting the kitchen, dining area, and living room. This space is designed for both comfort and entertainment, making it perfect for gatherings with family and friends. The gourmet kitchen is a culinary enthusiast's dream, featuring granite countertops, a gas stove, state-of-the-art appliances, and settings for up to 14 guests. Whether you're preparing a feast or a casual meal, this kitchen has everything you need. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room with magical views across the valley and a dining table for 8. There are also 6 bar stools at the island.

The living area invites you to relax and unwind. Two large sofas frame a 66-inch flat-screen TV, creating a cozy spot for movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows. A gas fireplace adds a touch of warmth and ambiance, perfect for those cooler mountain evenings.

On the first floor, two inviting bedrooms await. The first is a master suite, complete with a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV, and in the private master bath a luxurious Jacuzzi tub. A separate steam shower offers a spa-like experience, allowing you to truly unwind after a day of adventures. The second bedroom boasts a king bed and breathtaking views of the western landscape, including the majestic Whetstone Mountain. There is a semi-private bath across the hall.

Finishing out the main level is a dedicated laundry room off the mud room, ensuring you have all the conveniences of home during your stay. Step outside onto the new large deck, where a gas grill beckons for outdoor cooking and dining as well as an 8 person hot tub. Take in the sweeping mountain views or keep an eye out for elk and mule deer traversing the hills.

Venture to the second floor, where two additional bedrooms and bathrooms await. The second master suite is a sanctuary unto itself, featuring a king bed, another flat-screen TV and private bath with shower. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and two twin beds, providing flexible sleeping arrangements. And then there's the den – a haven for kids and adults alike. With two trundle beds (sleeps 4 total), two queen sleeper sofas, and another flat-screen TV, it's a space designed for fun and relaxation. These 2 rooms share a semi-private bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

Throughout the entire house, high-speed wireless internet ensures you stay connected.

To drive to town from the house is 9.5 miles and takes about 15 minutes and it is 12 miles to the ski area and takes about 20 minutes. There is a free bus in CB south and is about 7-10 minute drive.

Please note that during the winter months, 4X4 or AWD vehicles will be needed for access. The driveway is large enough for several cars, ATVs, or trailers.

Great property

If you like solitude and beautiful Mountain View’s within a short drive to the mountain, this is a great home. It’s spacious and fit our group of 11 well! The kitchen was stocked with supplies and the hot tub was enjoyable. The bidet and steam shower were also crowd favorites. Pro tip: bring muck boots. If there is snow and temps above 32 degrees, the drive and parking spaces are a muddy mess. Some of our shoes didn’t survive.

Family Xmas Trip

Arrived Christmas Day and checked out Jan 2. Overall the house was fantastic for our large family. The things we loved about the house were: the location and incredible views, the hot tub, steam shower in the master bedroom, large kitchen and dining area, and great family room. The proximity to Crestted Butte was great. Definitely recommend vehicle with four wheel drive or at least all wheel drive to navigate the winter conditions getting to and from the house. Our host, Wendy, was extremely quick to respond to any questions or requests. Thanks for a great property and trip.

Ask for improvements before booking.

This is a relatively new build, that is very spacious, but still feels a bit unfinished. Pluses: Lots of space. Updated appliances. Steam room and hot tub. Gorgeous views. Minuses: The parking area and walk to the door was a giant mud pool: very difficult with kids. The water from the tap has softener in it and gave us stomach issues. The water from the fridge smells. Bring bottled water to drink unless the owners tell you that something has been fixed. The fireplace was not working. We were told literally less than 24h before check-in, and as we were already on our way to Crested Butte. Negotiating about that with the property manager felt like being bullied. It required arbitration from VRBO and made our check-in immensely stressful. There weren't enough comforters and blankets for all advertised beds nor enough hot tub towels for all guests. Max occupancy numbers need to be lowered, or more blankets and towels should be provided. A dust pan would have been nice as well.

4couples. All seniors. House was great. The steps leading from the parking area needs a hand rail. The steps are gravel and not a convenient distant apart. The gravel does not give adequate support. No one fell but everyone felt insecure.

Beautiful home with stunning views. Elk and deer came by the property in the evenings, and the chipmunks amused us. There are no neighbors nearby to disturb the peace and quiet. Would definitely book this house again.

Mountain & Wildflower Paradise

This house was everything we could have ever wanted in a vacation home. Absolutely beautiful. So spacious. The only problem is deciding where you want to hangout. The living room view is spectacular. The dining room view is simply splendid & the view from the master is beautiful as well. Mage deck is really nice & very spacious. The view can’t be beat. Pure perfection. The hot tub was so nice to relax in & look at the stars. We rented this place for our family who all came for my sons wedding. We were able to all stay together & everyone had the best time! Crested Butte is a hidden gem & this house is the place to experience it.

Mountain getaway with a great snowy view

I had a great stay at this property. I had a group of friends come up for my 40th and the house was perfect for the group. The kitchen was well equipped, the hot tub was hot, and the Sonos sound system was a nice bonus. This is a great place to stay when you have a lot of friends as there are over 10 individual beds so everyone can have their own bed. In the winter, the road is quite steep in spots, so 4wd and good tires are highly recommended.

Excellent for Families & Friends

Excellent house with beautiful views and room to spread out. Secluded from other properties makes for a great experience. Several families stayed in February for a ski trip to Crested Butte. The play room was great for the kids and the bedrooms were comfortable for the adults. Will want AWD/4WD and/or winter tires in winter to get through the neighborhood to house. reasonable check out procedures. There were a few things that kept this from being a 5 star property. 1. Slow communication. On our check in day we asked if an early check in was possible. We never received a response during the duration of our stay. Even if the answer had been no I would expect a response from owner/manager. 2. Only a single physical key and no lock box or digital key code. With multiple families staying and only a single key we had to leave the doors unlocked or hide a key. For a short term rental I would expect either multiple keys or a keypad or lock box solution so the house can be secured. 3. No cold water in kitchen sink/non-functioning filtered water/slow water flow from fridge (needed filter replaced. The cold water at the kitchen sink didn’t work. The filtered water at the kitchen sink didn’t work. The water out of the fridge flowed VERY slowly and the panel indicated the filter needed to be changed.

Amazing property!

The pictures were great but the house was even better! Our adult children loved the hot tub and the close proximity to skiing. The terrific kitchen was huge and easy for us to all cook together. Plenty of space for all of us and such beautiful views! We'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful house for a vacation.

Fall Family Retreat

Beautiful home with amazing views in a stunning part of Colorado. We made great memories together. Games, hikes, a visit to downtown Crested Butte and pizza at the Secret Stash! Hot tubbed under the stars, enjoyed warm Indian Summer weather and then left just as the snow began! We will return to the valley!

Wonderful Stay In South Crested Butte

Our family of 6 adults and 2 young grandchildren had a wonderful stay in this beautiful South Crested Butte home. The home has a great/very private location and is spacious and well- equipped with spectacular views.
