Whale Watch Cottage 1 block from beach

Bring your binoculars :) Ocean views, and short walk to Pebble Beach make this a spectacular place to stay. We offer Hi-Speed Internet/Cable, a well equipped kitchen & propane BBQ, a remote-controlled fireplace, W&D, and an amazing bathroom. Small pets are allowed for a small fee.
The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is within walking distance to many parts of the beach; rocky or sandy. Bring the magnifying glasses if you have kids, because the tidepools at this beach are phenomenal! I recommend taking a walk to Brother Jonathan Park for a playground, restroom, and panoramic views of the coastline. More information is in the house binder. Great little house with all you’d need - even a cupcake pan for our daughter’s birthday :) There was a VRBO issue with our dates, but the property manager was great with communication and accommodating us storing a few things with her until the house was ready. The “block to the beach” is to a bluff, but a 5-10 min walk takes you to some great tide pools and a beach which we loved!

Lovely and cozy.

This is an excellent place to stay and located perfectly for seeing the sights in the Redwood parks area. The house is well appointed with all provided for The host was very communicative, helpful and friendly. Highly, highly recommend!

We were visiting the area from out of state. We came to visit the Redwoods and the ocean. This house was perfect for our “home base.”

Pet friendly and people friendly

Extremely well organized and clean place to stay. Our 12 year old cat thoroughly enjoyed the experience, adopting the front room chair as his. A short stroll to the ocean for evening walks was wonderful, bed was comfortable and the silence was incredible.

Cozy pleasant stay near the ocean

The house was very clean, very comfortable and very cozy. The backyard was very lovely with a very comfortable back porch. My stay was quiet and very enjoyable. The kitchen was really well equipped. That was a bonus for me as I had my two grandsons there every evening for dinner along with my son. I would love to stay again if the opportunity presents itself.

Great cottage close to the Ocean

We stayed here on a cross country road trip for 2 nights. We chose this property for access to the beach and the Redwood National Park. The location was great! It is in a quiet neighborhood. There were 2 adults, a teen, and 3 younger children and we had plenty of space. Everything was organized and labeled nicely. The backyard and patio are so welcoming!

Great Last minute stay

My wife and I made a last minute decision to stay in Crescent City while traveling up the California coast. Eurlene responded very quickly to our initial email and we were able to make the arrangement just two days before arrival. Then we changed our minds and decided to arrive a day earlier and she was able to handle that as well. The house was clean and well maintained and was nicely furnished. It is just steps from the ocean. We took our chairs and walked down to watch for whales - didn't see any - and watched the sun set. It was a great setting. It was just a short drive to the redwoods and we did some hiking there. It was nice to come "home" after the walking we did. Also we walked to the tidepools and enjoyed looking at the creatures there. We really enjoyed our stay there and found everything we needed. We'll stay there again if we are in the area.

The property was perfect!!!! The back porch was a great private spot to relax and read a book with the ocean in the distance. We enjoyed walks on the cliff above the beach and on the beach as we were a block from the ocean. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Thank you for supplying everything a house would typically possess. Very clean and well equipped!

Whale watcher cabin

This was my second stay here and it was just as fabulous as the first time. My puppy lived the back yard. It was very relaxing and quiet. I will definately be back again. Thank you

Great homebase for Redwoods visit

This was a very comfortable place to relax after our days of hiking. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and the back deck. We didn't actually cook, but the kitchen seemed well supplied, and there were condiments, seasonings, and various other supplies available to use. There were labels to aid in finding things. It was a short drive to a number of restaurants and the beach really is a short walk. Even though it is pet-friendly, it didn't smell of pets. I'd rent this cottage again if I returned to this area.

Awesome place, my best friend and I attended our 50th reunion. Stacy was great to work with, gave us an early check in. cottage was well equiped for our stay. Very quiet place. We enjoyed staying there. Highly recommended from us!!

Comfortable stay

Charming small cottage which is 1/2 block from the cliffs above the ocean. The back deck and the yard are wonderful. The kitchen is very well stocked. This was my second visit and I hope to be back again soon

Home away from home.

This was our 3rd time here and we stay for several weeks. Great being near the ocean which makes for great walks along the beach. This little home is perfect for us and our small dog who loves the fenced in back yard. Sandy is a great property manager if there are any issues.

Fall Getaway

Lovely House Close to Ocean

I stay in Crescent City a couple times a year for work and this place was the best rental I've stayed in. Nice neighborhood, you can hear the ocean at night but otherwise very quiet. Both beds were comfortable, the house was very clean. The backyard was absoutely perfect to sit in and enjoy a book in the sunshine. Would love to stay here again!

Smoking House

This is a smoker house. It smells like vanilla Febreeze mixed with an ashtray. Why can’t people just smoke outside? The binder at the house says it’s $250 fine if you smoke in the house. We all felt sick from the smell, and feel like we deserve the $250 for enduring it.
