"Beautiful modern hotel and we had a lovely big room. Friendly staff and the young staff in the restaurant were very friendly, polite and efficient. Breakfast and meals were all delicious and always served hot. All areas of the hotel were very clean. Lovely patio overlooking the vineyard enjoying a glass of wine. "

"Beautiful place, decor is lovely, large bedrooms, everything is so clean and well kept. Food in the bar and breakfast was lovely, veggie options are good. Staff are very friendly, especially stephen at the bar and Cameron on reception. This is our third time visiting Lanelay hall and will definitely be back. We especially like the Tribe spa area, outdoorpool was lovely and the inside pool is decorated lovely, relaxing music, scent and atmosphere. "

Highly recommended will be returning to The Vale

"Lovely night staying in The Vale Resort staff were very friendly and helpful. Room wasn't ready but we arrived before check in time but had plans and needed to get ready. The staff said we could use the dry changing rooms, these were immaculate and perfect for me to change and do hair and makeup. Room was ready 15 minutes later and had time to have a quick drink in the bar before our night in Cardiff for a concert. Returned to the hotel and the bar was open and then ordered room service were we enjoyed lovely, freshly made sandwiches accompanied with slaw and crisps the perfect end to our lovely evening. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast lots on offer and all delicious. Staff were great, explaining about our choice of breakfast and showing us the juice and offering tea and coffee. Unfortunately we didn't have time for a swim or spa but we will definitely return in the future. Check out was easy and friendly. All in all a great time. Thank you "

Fantastic stay in idyllic location.

"Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. "

"We had a two night room only stay, the staff were very good, very helpful. The room was v warm, clean and comfortable. The shower was superb very powerful with lots of hot water. Hotel location very good for access although we walked into Pontyclun through the grounds on several occasions (a very pleasant twenty minute walk). A pity the leisure facilities were unavailable but we were informed the hotel was in the process of securing a new owner. We stayed in The Cottages and found them to be perfect for our requirements, the main hotel decor and ambience was very enjoyable as it is a listed property with lots of character and on a par with Highclere castle (albeit Highclere castle you cannot sit down end enjoy a drink in the main lounge in). Overall an excellent stay and we would stay there again in future, thank you Miskin Manor team."

"It was a great stay! I wasn't expecting much because of the price but the room was modern, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean but the shower wasn't great. The restaurant attached to the hotel wasn't the nicest decor but the staff were great and the food was delicious! I'd definitely stay there again if I was in the area. thanks!"
