Entorno espectacular, el lago y la casa cabaña.

Es un lugar muy bonito, espectacular en un lago y rodeado de las cabañas de madera. La casa muy bien, muy cómoda y amplia. Para 4 personas esta muy bien, cerca de Cardiff. Se disfruta mucho del entorno de la casa. el lugar es idilico y muy bonito. El desayuno esta muy bien también. Las recepcionistas muy amables.

Such a lovely place to stay so peaceful just over 6 miles from Cardiff . The lodge was right beside the lake and was spotless .Breakfast was really good ! Only stayed one night but didn't want to leave 😕 hopefully we will be back.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Gorgeous lake views. Room was huge, loads of space, very comfortable and stylish. Loads of tea and coffee, plus biscuits. Floor to ceiling patio doors to balcony let in so much light, but curtains kept it dark for sleeping. Stunning place, would definitely recommend and stay again.

Better Than the Photos

We were surprised to find that our room was even better than it looked in the website photos! Usually it's the opposite! Beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake with great, freshly prepared food. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice and relaxed lovely venue / location, Rodri cafe was excellent, no information in lodge about anything ,no WiFi also. mattress dipped in the middle. Would visit and stay again it was.so peaceful.

Hi lovely place but as we went to get in to bed we found a lot of hairs all over sheets and as a result we slept on the duvet and went to have a shower also hair all in the bath lovely place just not clean and for the money you would expect more

Fantastic stay in idyllic location.

Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre.

The venue is primarily a wedding venue. Consequently very limited breakfast time, so we missed it the first day as we had an appointment. No dining facilities the day we were there. Otherwise a nice setting but very isolated if you are not attending a function.

Green light in room made it impossible to sleep. Lake had been drained and looked like a mud patch with no warning or discount. Breakfast was very limited.

5 star all the way

You were so kind and understanding when i asked for early check in on Tuesday. What you didnt know, was my back had my health were in trouble, i needed to lay down and rest before a concert. You appeared to take one look at my stressed out face and you were amazing, ko questions asked. Room was beautiful, food was.fantastic and the grounds were incredible. Many thanks.

About our stay

About our stay. They room and setting was lovely we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place. However with red alert weather warning and the power cut from 1am, high winds tiles falling from the roof and no heating it soon became quite a stressful stay. This through no fault of yours of course this is something you cannot control. We did become to get quite concerned as to how we would get home safety the next morning and were worried about traveling with our 6 year old son and for all our safety. This is where I became very disappointed in the service received. I messaged the out of hours number given to ask if if was possible to have a later check out due to the severe weather warning. And asked if breakfast would still be served due to no electricity, The response I got was this - Good morning sorry for the disruption unfortunately we have no power across the entire site. Regrettably we are unable to extend your check out as we have wedding guests arriving however you are more than welcome to wait out the storm in rhodris. A cold breakfast of cereal and yogurt is also available at rhodris. Please pop over to the office if you require any further information. We did go down to Rhodris. We were greeting by 2 staff member sat by the fire. Considering breakfast was between 7.30 - 10 and it was no 9.15 there was nothing set out and we had to ask.
