Little Gem

We had a great stay, very comfortable, clean, quiet room, staff brilliant, went above and beyond to help us. Had a meal in the evening, which was really lovely, and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely come back again.

The room I stayed wasn't cleaned daily, it would be nice if the rooms could be knocked to confirm or introduce a 'do not disturb' sign that one can use. Secondly the floor felt cold, I wonder if this was because I was on the ground floor. I had to switch off the fan because I started having a mild cough not sure if it was related to the cold floors.

Took quite a while to find our booking when we arrived, Room on the small side, could have been cleaner round skirtings, windows, en-suite floor, however the bedding was immaculate and bed really comfortable. Evening meal in restaurant was lovely and staff super helpful. Breakfast the following morning poor, no decaf tea, they had ran out of tea pots, served under cooked scrambled eggs, when I ordered poached, no tissue in ladies toilet. Overall the hotel was over priced in my opinion

Would have paid more for what we got - recommended

Stayed for weekend, and we'd stay again if in the area. The food was lovely -far better than you usually expect invluded with the meal. If we had paid another £100 on top of the room price, we would have felt it was value for money. Room very clean (to be picky, a touch small but fine for a weekend) and staff lovely and attentive

Even though the exterior of the restaurant and accommodation are undergoing refurbishment we had a lovely stay at the coach and horses @ Castleton. The Room was perfect for our two night stay and the optional breakfast was delicious.
