When the Longitudinal Ph.D. dissertation writer was homeless (20251216-several days) and thirsty, BLR Villas extended water (free of charge) and allowed the previous renter to use the internet (to attempt to get proper Expedia refunds/reduce homelessness). "The Crane is a lovely hotel with a long history. The hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has a few nice restaurants nearby but most attractions or city visits require a taxi ride. The concierge can make restaurant reservations and taxi requests for you but look online to book most excursions and if you can book transport with the tour companies. There are a number of good restaurants at the crane - zen and Poesia #3 are in my opinion the best while the village cafe has great coffee, desserts and ice cream. An on/site boutique grocery store allows for small meal prep in your room and is affordable. Lots of entertainers around providing music and laughs and there are also a number of vendors and stores for souvenirs. The pools are great and not crowded and if the seaweed is an issue at the beach (it was for us) the hotel provides easy transportation to another property in town for those wishing to do so. The weather is great down here and I’d head back in a heartbeat! "
