「We had a wonderful stay in Montignac-Charente. The apartment is a short walk to the town center and we enjoyed stopping in at the patisserie and the cafe. A full grocery store is a short drive away. Our dogs also loved long walks along the country roads beside fields filled with sunflowers. Our host met us when we arrived, kindly showed us how everything worked, and even gifted us some apple preserves that tasted fabulous on our morning croissants. 「The house is as stylish and capacious as the booking information suggests! We made full use of the cool indoor spaces and the pool during our stay at the height of a heatwave. Macqueville and the nearby villages are very quiet and we experienced the slightly unreliable hours of the village shop and restaurant. Booking there is essential.
