Idyllic location and great amenities for our family (older teenagers). Plenty to do with pool table and table tennis and fantastic large garden and swimming pool.
Thank you Claire for booking restaurant and being the perfect host.

What an amazing property. Set in fabulously spacious grounds, with loads of room for the children to run around. The house is well equipped with everything you need, a great games room with a pool table which kept us entertained for hours, plus a table tennis table, badminton and a huge swimming pool. The surrounding area is so peaceful so sitting outside with a coffee, glass of wine or beer was bliss. Also I recommend sitting outside when the sun has gone down as their is no light pollution so the sky looks stunning, lit up by just the stars! There are lots of great villages nearby and I recommend a visit to nearby Tusson and finding a little cafe called Gatteux which is owned by a lovely Scottish lady. In the words of my children “ her baking is the best!” 🤣 Claire, the owner, was so friendly as were Mandy and Tony who were there to greet us with the keys and show us around, they made us feel at home as soon as we arrived! Thankyou again for a fantastic break we all had a great break and have to say that none of us wanted to come home! Xxxx
The booking process was very easy and the owner Claire was very responsive, as was her local manager Tony. The photographs undersell the house - it works really well for 6 adults and is a very pleasant holiday home with a huge garden and lovely pool. Pool was refreshing as unheated, but very welcome in the hot weather. Lots of rural and riverside villages to visit, local water sports, etc. Seaside at Royan 90 minutes away and very pretty. Recommended.

Relaxing Holiday
I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a very relaxing holiday with its own private pool. The house was very big and ideal for our family of 6. Whilst we chose to have a relaxing holiday with only one trip out (Oradour-sur-Glane, the martyred village), there are other places of interest to visit.
A 5-minute drive away in the town of Ruffec we had access to a Lidl and next door was a huge L'Eclerc hypermarket, perfect for all your self catering needs.
We were an all adult family but I would love to take my two granddaughters to this place, they would have loved the massive garden in addition to the pool.
The local sunflower fields were very impressive and gave great photo opportunities.
The property is well maintained and very attractive.
Eating breakfast on the patio every morning was idyllic and I wish I was still there.
We drove from the UK, this was a budget holiday for us, staying in a hotel in the south of the UK for an early departure by the Euro Tunnel the next morning, we headed on the N10 for the majority of the journey to Chez Branger and next stop Les Adjots. We also went toll free, the journey should have taken us 8 hours which it did on the return journey to Arques.
All in all, I would highly recommend this property, a bargain!! The host Claire was most welcoming and communications were excellent.
Thank you Claire.
