"A lovely stay in a cute old stable. Lovely provision of cereal, bread, butter, milk and coffee (including some for the cafetière for those like me who don’t drink instant). The fridge has a small freezer at the top which is great. The living room is double height and very comfy with underfloor heating, the bedroom is upstairs on the mezzanine. The owners have really thought about the things you need when staying away in self-catered accommodation and it shows! 10/10"

"This holiday home is the most perfect myself and partner have booked. The decor is absolutely amazing and a lot of thought had been put into it by the owners. It is impossible to pick any faults. The home was clean and high standard and quality of equipment and furnishings. Studying the ‘quirky’ decor was an enjoyable time spent. Simon and Lynne were so friendly without being intrusive. The advert does not do this place justice, it was above and beyond our expectations and we shall be back "

"Absolutely fabulous place to stay! Exactly as described with everything you need for a break away. Hot tub was a great touch in wonderful little garden with lights. So clean and a pleasure to stay there. Lovely little touch with welcome basket on arrival. Would highly recommended!"

"Out of the city with lots of space for the children. Appreciated having access to things in the house made for the kids (dishes, games, yard toys). Communication with host was very quick and there was a lovely welcome basket full of treats when we arrived!"

"We didn’t even get to stay in the hotel waited 30minutes outside for them to tell us the people before damaged the property so we could not stay so they left a 18year old and 17 year old with no where to stay 3hours away from home so not the best visit if I say so myself and will not be going back "

"A very relaxing holiday in this comfortable accommodation with great lakeside views and a wide variety of bird life. There are 5 pubs in Barton, some with good food and ales only 15 minute walk away. Sunday lunch in the newly renovated George Inn was particularly tasty and good value. Walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds , a trip to Cleethorpes 30 minutes drive away, and a quick bus caught just down the road took us to Hull in 30 minutes for a day round the old town and marina. Highly recommended...

"We had such a lovely 2 night stay here! The lodge was in pristine condition, with all necessities like tea, coffee, milk. The hot tub was ready for us to get in. There were plenty of useful extras like iron, travel cot, hairdryers, plenty of toilet rolls. There was an en-suite with shower and a family bathroom too. "Despite the obvious damage to the property as a result of roof damage, the wonderful character of the building shines through. It is a delightful place in a magnificent rural setting. The staff were a delight and very attentive. The breakfasts were great and the 2 evening meals were also good. I am sure when the not unsubstantial renovations are completed this hotel will be an absolute gem."
