"I already reviewed this once, but will repeat my comments. This hotel has a great location, but it is really in need of major upgrades. Security was a big concern: there were several gates from the parking lot and street that were kept unlocked at all times; anyone could get in without passing the front desk. There were card readers on the room doors but they were not operational. My mattress was old and I could feel all the metal springs. I had to cover it with extra pillows in order to sleep....

"The location was perfect. We were within walking distance of the beaches and all of the dining venues. The lady at the front desk, Marie, was very helpful and positive. Hotel and rooms very clean and staff vey friendly. The Southwest architectural design of the building was very different from the normal hotel appearances- very welcoming and charming. If back in the area in the future we will gladly stay here again."

"The staff are amazing and made us feel welcome and supported. We had to use the sofa bed and the young man from housekeeping was so nice and did a great job setting up the bed for us. The lady at the front desk Sunday morning was cheerful and helpful. The young man in valet helped with our suitcases and was so sweet. Great job to the staff!! My only wish was that I would have gotten everyone’s names to thank the properly. I used to work for the Hyatt in the late 90’s and I am proud to say that after the experience we had at this property. Sending a huge thank you to the Hyatt Irvine team! "
