Hotel is nice enough in the comfort rooms, with great view over the valley and surrounding mountains. Breakfast leaves a bit to be desired but otherwise a nice place to stay.

Outstanding room and service!
Our stay at Des Alpes was wonderful! We were given an upgrade in our room so we had a nice deck area to look out to see the mountains. The room was very clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was fabulous! There were many choices of delicious and healthy food to choose from. The staff were exceptionally helpful when we realized we had left our passports in the safe when we traveled to our next town. They went above and beyond to help us remedy the situation. I would definitely recommend Des Alpes for travelers to Cortina.

Room was comfortable, a bit old but clean. I was surprised to have a little balcony which gave me a side view of the mountains. The balcony was looking into my other neighbours balcony though as ours were adjacent to each other in an L shape formation. There was no fridge in my room. My friends room had a fridge. Restaurant had decent food, I enjoyed the pork belly dish with apple sauce and saukraut. The dessert was not the best but the main dishes were good. I enjoyed the common terrace that overlooked the mountains which was a beautiful location. It is a scenic walk into town about 20minutes.

Cortina d'Impresive! Don't miss it!
We booked well in advance and this hotel was the only one with availability. We were thankful to be able to get it as Cortina d'ampezzo is spectacular. This hotel is a little bit outside the main part of town, 1 km, so glad it was quiet and convenient for us. Breakfast was okay, parking was free. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Could not recommend more!
I could not recommend this hotel more!! We stayed here for three nights in a triple room and it was super cozy and clean I was honestly shocked. I don't think I've stayed in a hotel this clean in a very long time. The front desk staff also knew us every time we went down and were so friendly. They helped us call taxis, knew which table was ours for breakfast, and were just overall incredibly nice. Will definitely be coming back here!

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Cortina d'Ampezzo
Nice hotel on the outskirts of Cortina d'Ampezzo. Rustic style. Everything is very clean, comfortable. It is a pity that there is no way to make tea in the room, we had to go down to the bar in the evening. There is a fridge in the room, but it doesn't cool much. Breakfast is normal, but absolutely the same, nothing has changed during the four days of our stay. The coffee is good, but the juices are chemical. Parking in front of the hotel, across the road. The views from the hotel are beautiful, but you can't go anywhere on foot - there are no sidewalks or roadsides on the highway, it's very dangerous. Only leave by car.

Good place to stay
Located few minutes drive from town center. On main road, but rooms at the back quiet. Good sund isolation. Clean, comfy bed. Shower took 5 minutes to gradually warm up. Friendly staff. Cortina is a nice town.

The views here are absolutely amazing. It's an older place inside but very clean and has an elevator which was great for our luggage.

Comfortable experience
Got this place last minute as I planned late. It was comfortable and clean. Good breakfast in morning, older guy working desk was excellent at helping me choose a hiking route locally. Downside is it is a 25 minute uphill walk from bus station. If driving, not an issue and probably better as downtown can be loud and crowded at night. Was a solo traveler, but would be great as couple or splitting room with friends to make cost a little better. Not overpriced, but just had to buy a double for myself. Probably could have fit four of us in there (two bed, two sleeping on ground). If traveling to Cortina with company again, would likely choose here. I didn't try the wellness or spa options so can't comment on those unfortunately.

Perfect for one night stay before Tre Cime
The views from the hotel front was fantastic, however, we chose a room without views to save some money. Our room was clean and quiet but bit dated. We were driving so free parking on site was a plus. It was perfect for us to spend one quick night before heading to Tre Cime the next morning.

Incredible view
The view from the room with a balcony is incredible. Overlooking the mountain ranges and valley below. Definitely recommend getting a room with a balcony.

This hotel is nice but it is too far away from the center of town without a car (in winter). Also, the buses and taxis (minimum fair 14,50€) don’t start running until 7am. I had to run down a cold, icy road to make my bus. The hotel staff should have known that you cannot get a taxi until 7am.

You should have checked before booking, It's not our fault. I spoke to the info taxi the evening before your check-out, and I told you what I've been told. Great Family Owned Hotel
Old hotel, but very well maintained. The views are spectacular and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is excellent.

Friendly stay
The hotel is very friendly where staff can't do enough for you and take time to talk to you and advise you on the local area. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels if wanted. Rooms are typical tyro lean style, twin beds made to a double. Hotel location 4/5 as although we know the area and don't mind the distance others might think otherwise. Breakfast was good. Didn't use the bar. Had a room with balcony and mountain view to the front of the hotel. Shower (no bath) was amazing!!! Perfectly located for a bus stop 100 yards away and parking is across the road at front of hotel. A short drive or 20 minutes walk takes you to the town centre. All in all a lovely stay at DES alpes and we would consider staying again.

Very nice choice
In the fall of 2016 we stayed at the hotel for two days. We had a street-side room on an upper floor. There were heavy wooden shutters we could close to block the street noise at night. From the balcony we had a nice view of the countryside. Everything we saw in the hotel was newly remodeled and very clean.

We were in this hotel in early January 2015. The room was big size. Hotel staff was very nice and the most helpful. Breakfast and dinner had a good variety. Except for few minor issues with public transportation schedule I will consider our stay as nice and comfortable.

Soggiorno piacevole, camera perfetta a cui mancava solo un balconcino per essere da 10. Letto comodo e vista sulla ciclabile che porta al centro di Cortina. Lo staff molto gentile e la colazione assolutmaente super. Un po decentrato ma con 15 minuti di camminata sulla ciclabile si arriva in centro a Cortina. Nelle vicinanze c'è un noleggio bici e poco altro. Parcheggio dell'hotel super comodo.

Insgesamt angenehmer Aufenthalt. Das Des Alpes liegt etwas außerhalb, zu Fuß ist der Ortskern von Cortina nicht leicht erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind sehr ordentlich. Das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Achtung, die Sauna ist nicht inkludiert - kostet extra. Das Frühstück war reichlich und wurde auch immer schnell nachgefüllt, kennt man auch anders. Für den der mobil ist und keine zu großen Ansprüche stellt, eben begeisterte Skifahrer, ist die Unterkunft absolut zu empfehlen.

Schöne Gegend. Promenade in die Stadt sehr schön. Personal freundlich aber leider nicht immer hilfreich. Rührei im Frühstücksbüfett war immer kalt. Das habe ich gemeldet, aber es ist nie besser geworden.

Guten Morgen, Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Die Eier am Frühstücksbuffet bleiben im Wasserbad, so dass sie nicht heiß sein können. Sie sind nicht kalt, sondern warm, weil sie sonst brennen würden. Ich weiß, weil ich es jeden Morgen esse :)

Høj standard, men varmt værelse
Meget kunde- og servicemindet hotel. Synes at alt var til 5 stjerner, bortset fra varmen i værelser. Der var 28 grader i værelset ved ankomst kl. 22 om aftenen og køleapperatet virkede ikke. Det påpegede vi, og de fik det hurtigt løst. Køleren, der larmede en del, stod 1 meter fra sengen og kørte hele natten. Om morgenen var temperaturen sænket til 25 grader. En lang nat med urolig søvn. Vi informerede receptionen om den lange nat ved tjek-ud og vi fik en rabat. Morgenmaden var overdådig og jeg har ikke oplevet det bedre andre steder. Jeg vil gerne anbefale hotellet og vil helt klart benytte det igen.
