Family beach trip

It was a good stay over all. Bunk bed upstairs top bunk was not stable so could not use. Other than that was clean and close to pool. we had more then enough room for our family and kids.

Great rental

Really enjoyed our stay! Other reviews from a few years ago mentioned cleanliness as an issue, but the unit was spotless. Bedrooms were large and it was great having 3 king beds since there were 3 couples. The other beds (a bunk bed, pull-out couch and a day bed with a trundle in the living room) don't offer much privacy, but that's to be expected, and it was really nice having all the bed options since we had a few friends join us for a couple of days during our trip. Kitchen was well-stocked in terms of the number of pots/pans, plates, etc. Other reviews also complained that there weren't spices and other kitchen supplies like foil, tupperware, etc., but after reading the reviews when we booked the unit, we knew to bring supplies with us. In addition, grocery store is fairly close so it's not a big deal if you need anything. There is a hose to wash off feet right outside the front door, and despite leaving our shoes on the porch, floors got sandy. The stick vacuum isn't the greatest, but definitely took care of the keeping gritty floors to a minimum. We didn't really have any problems, but management response to a couple of questions was almost immediate, even outside of normal business hours--very impressive. Overall, the unit was great. Short walk to the beach, pool right outside the door--the pool temperature was really nice vs. the warm bathwater that you might expect in August. Check-out was really easy too.

View overlooks pool

Literally 4 paces from front door to pool locked gate. Expect playful children noises. Nice clean place inside and out. Pool guy maintained chemical levels daily. Close to dining and bar. Bring beach towels, 1 block walk or very short drive to beach. Golf cart rental available nearby. Close to grocery and food services. Animal area only rocks no grass. Cold AC. Make sure to bring personal supplies and necessities. 5 -10 min to marina guide fishing. Comfortable place. Easy in-out. No issues, contact by email or text. Ms. Sierra was there if necessary.

This condo was amazing. Our family had a great time. Loved that the pool was right outside of the condo and the beach was just a short walk for us. Would definitively stay here again.

Solid location, nice amenities

We enjoyed our week at this condo. The two pools were a great convenience, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beach was within walking distance. Well, walking distance for some folks, but an even shorter drive. Picking up a beach parking permit from the nearby gas station is easy enough. When we first arrived, the handle pulled right off the front door. While inconvenient, we reached out to have it fixed, but it never was resolved. We would still make it work, but just a heads up!

Beach trip 2021

The property is close to the beach and the property overlooks the pool. One big disappointment for me was the coffee machine. I would have liked a better coffee machine. We had three vehicles with only two reserved spots but there was not an issue with the third parking.

The location is great and the property is fine.

Family of 11 stayed here and main call out is the limited kitchen supplies, we literally had to buy our own spices and foil, Tupperware at the local grocery store. There were no dishwasher packs. Limited kitchen towels. Kitchen amenities definitely needs a facelift. Also no complimentary beach towels and we requested extra towels and we were told to wash what we had. Linens are not the best grade so don’t expect a nice comfy bed with hotel Style bedding. Overall the location was great and the family had a good time.

Great location and unit but not the cleanest

This was our 3rd VRBO stay and it wasn’t the cleanest place we’ve stayed at. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a great location and a clean enough unit but there were a few issues here and there. The rug upstairs was cover in sand when we got there. The only vacuum was flimsy and cheap. One of the upstairs bathroom’s white shower curtain had reddish stuff all on the bottom. The last issue we had was the small amounts of stuff they give you. There’s hardly any kitchen stuff (no scissors) and they limit you on all the usable stuff in the unit. We guessed it was because it was a company rental but if I’m paying a couple thousand dollars for my stay, I would think it got me more than 2 trash bags, paper products and laundry pods (especially when I had to use one on their dirty shower curtain). Looking past those issues, we had a good time. Loved the pool outside the front door for our 4 year old.

Nice inside, but NOT quiet.

Very nice inside, new remodel, good kitchen. Steps from the pool. One of the bedrooms overlooks the pool. The kids (4, ages 3 to 11) enjoyed the pool, the splashpad and the playground. We could not really relax with the noise from the pool, which was continuous at all hours. The walk to the beach wasn't too bad (5min fast pace or about 10 minutes with small kids and older relatives), but too far to go more than 2ce a day.

Great Condo for Beach & Pool

This townhome was in a great location to enjoy the kiddie pool and quickly walk or drive to Whitecap Beach with our kids. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, if anything, the kitchen was a little lacking in supplies that you normally find in a condo (like basic spices, foil, or a non crusty pan), but I'm assuming some of that was due to changes made because of COVID. Overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The walls are a little thin but again, we had a good time!

We enjoyed our stay!

We had my family of 4 and my in laws. It was roomy. We could have easily had more people. We didn’t use one whole bedroom. My kids loved the bunk beds and the little room under the stairs. We had access to two pools and it was awesome having one right out our door and only being mins from the gulf. The only thing I was expecting that wasn’t there was small amounts of seasoning like salt and pepper at least. the rooms at the back of the house were pretty bright even with the blinds closed due to the security lights at out by the cars. But over all I would definitely rent this property again.

Great place

Great place and close to beach with pool and playground right outside door (pod if you want to keep eye on kids). Noise from pool area wasn’t really an issue. A little light on pots/pans of cooking a lot, but otherwise a great place for family/friends.

Dirty property close to beach

This was an ok property. However it was not clean as indicated in the property listing. Two of the beds had dirty sheets. There was hair and stains in one bed and broken fake fingernails and stains in the other. Two lamps (living room and bedroom) did not work. Floors were not clean. Nicks in drywall in multiple places. The pool key was not located where it was supposed to. The online property listing said it was pet friendly but the book at the property said no pets. The cleaning crew arrived at 11am and at 11am the cleaning crew started banging on our door. They stood on the porch while we loaded our cars. Overall, this property was disappointing. Motel 6 quality for penthouse cost. Do not recommend.

Great vacation

Beautiful home. Plenty of room. Heated pool and splash pool was amazing. Only issue was the front door—had seen reviews prior to selecting with the same issue.

Awesome property!

Perfect location - easy to walk to the beach. The home itself has a very pleasing layout making it very spacious! The furnishings are modern and decor is good modern taste. Very clean indoors and pool access is a plus! Excellent value for $.

Great Rental But Housekeeping Issues

This property was great - updated, plenty of space and beds for a larger group, wonderful pool and beach access. Well insulated so you don't hear the neighbors. The only issue was the cleanliness of the place. The floors were filthy enough we went and bought cleaning supplies our first night there. We also washed the bedding but found it was just really stained in some rooms (as was the couch, which I was afraid to sit on it was so stained). The shower curtains were moldy/mildewed and needed replacing. Overall a pretty great property that needs some care and attention for the price that's being charged.

Three king beds

There were three couples and we each had a king bed and a bath to ourselves!! It was GREAT!!! There was space to spread out and to be together! This property was close to the beach and worked for us to come and go as we wanted. The manager, Jennifer, was very prompt in answering a couple of questions that we had which was great!!! We would definitely stay in this property again!!

Overall great stay

Overall we were satisfied with our stay. Not as clean as it should be, i know they mopped the floors since they were still wet when we checked in, but made my kids and my feet dirty walking around. Also listing says check in is 3pm, a day before we were told check in was at 4pm for additional cleaning, but like i mentioned not that clean.

La Jolla Shores

We enjoyed our stay at La Jolla Shores. However, there were a couple of things I wanted to mention. The floors were not very clean when we checked in and we had to wipe down the kitchen counter because it had sticky stuff on it in several places. Also, there is water dripping periodically from the exhaust fan in the downstairs bathroom. Don’t know what the cause is but it might need to be checked out. Parking was a bit tight and not having a back door made it hard moving stuff in and out. Loved the location so close to the beach and the pool & playground was great for our little one. Th condo was very spacious with plenty of beds, which the kids loved. Thank you so much for the quick response when we had no water. Much appreciated!
