  • On a work-road trip to McAllen, Texas I had the opportunity to swing by Corpus Christi and grab dinner. No parading, no shopping planned, just a quick bite before seeing more freeway. I wasn't expecting to see very much. Boy, was I surprised. We stopped for dinner just 4 miles off our route at Harrison's in Corpus Christi. We sat in the "floating" seating, a roped off dock with tables and chairs, and enjoyed some of the town's talented musicians singing homegrown versions of Sublime songs. The sun set with beautiful yellow and orange colored clouds reflected in the water and I was amazed no others were photographing this beautiful scene. Maybe indifferent, or maybe used to the beauty that is this town, and us the tourists making ourselves clearly known. Thank you Corpus Christi for your beauty and your meal. I'm sorry our stay was rushed, we will definitely be back!

Family trip

First off, this is an older hotel that is in need of a renovation so go in with that in mind. With that being said, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is very nice. What you can't beat about this hotel is the location. The beach access and the little bar on the beach is great! They even had a DJ out in the evenings. We will stay again.

We stay here once a year. We like the location near all the tourist attractions. We also like the amenities that include beach access and beach bar. The property is older and is in need of upgrades but our room was clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We especially want to thank Eddie with maintenance for helping us retrieve a phone we thought we lost in the hot tub area.

a few things come to mind. ,parking was terrible , and the dangerous thing was water everywhere incl in elevator from people tracking in from pool and beach ,very unsafe ,i saw 3 people slip and fall. plus it took almost an hour to get our luggage out of the building due to lack of luggage carts and one of the elevators broke down

When booking online , i thought it was more up to date on remodels . But it was just very basic , no breakfast - just bagels and coffee. Very quite rooms but smaller than other hotels . We thought it was gonna give us an ocean view but it didnt give us the option. It was right in the middle of town , very convenient for our one day stay to sight see.

Our trip was an anniversary celebration and decided to go to Emerald Beach Hotel in Corpus Christi. I don’t mean no disrespect but by judging the.condition of the hotel they need a lot of upgrades and renovations. The hotel is aged. It seems that the management are barely making it to survive. I can make a list of issues but who would listen. Bottom line we love the beach view room with balcony and access to the beach. We will continue to stay at Emerald Beach Hotel as we love the location of the Hotel.

This property was very quiet and felt safe but it does need to be cleaned more. The floors was gritty and the sink was clogged. But the room had a magnificent view.

Hotel is very convenient to the beach, very friendly staff. Parking at the hotel is $35 which is a bit inconvenient when your already paying a lot for the room. Housekeeping only entered to take trash out, never left clean towels or toilet paper. Had to walk to the front desk for these items. Room ceilings and bathroom have mold which is so harmful to people. Spending $500 for weekend to have visible mold is not ok. The curtains on the sliding door are very dirty and visible mold. Beds are super small.

Clean room but that was about it

The good: The room was clean and comfortable. The bad: The back door by the pool was open when I arrived; no towels so I had to call for them; NO WIFI (are you kidding me?); at 4:19AM the alarm went off for about 10 minutes which gave people enough time to fully wake up, get dressed and go outside just as the alarm went off.

Property was ok overall, not excellent. Pictures on website were better than property. Staff was friendly. 1st night we had no hot water, 1 of the lamps didnt work...when I tried calling front desk to inform of no hot water, phone didnt work. At pool, the pool stand didnt have any pool towels either day. But I can say the beds were comfy.
