Constructed in 1930 & designated as a Historic Resource in 2018 for its association with Genevieve Moore Savage & builder Alma V. Johnson. Genevieve Savage was a pilot. She was sometimes referred to as "The Army's only Flying Wife" because her husband, Major C. M. Savage, was a member of the US Army. In 1934, she was the president of the Washington Women Pilots Association. She was also a passenger on a record-breaking flight where the pilot achieved a speed of 166.67 miles per hour. Genevieve Savage played an active role in the Ninety-Nines, an organization for women pilots, which included Amelia Earhart. Genevieve Savage died in a plane crash on August 27, 1937, in an isolated mountainous area three miles over the Mexican border. The crash was attributed to engine failure. She was 42 years old at the time of her death.
