Place was very nice. However it would have been helpful if we had specific details about what was available The listing said no crockpot and I traveled with mineI also brought a griddle and there was one there.

Lovely stay at Livin’ the Dream

Our family needed a house that could sleep everyone, provide some space and privacy, was close to the beach and offered fun amenities like a pool, spa and pool table. Livin’ the Dream delivered! With a large family group of 8 adults, 2 teens and an elementary schooler, finding a good fit can be a challenge at times. We loved how the rooms at Livin’ the Dream were spaced out so each couple could have privacy and parents could watch over kiddos easily. The kitchen was great and tables ample enough to feed our family. Seating in the main room for movies was doable, but a little tight due to the size of the room. The seating provided was moveable and comfortable though. The decks were great—though watch out for splinters on the top deck due to weathering. Lower decks aren’t as weathered so they have fewer splinter hazards. The spa was nice and maintained well. The porch swing was really comfortable and we had wonderful breezes that were refreshing. The pool was lovely and the back yard was very private and secluded-feeling. The front yard has the best grass and landscaping of the block! Beautiful grass and pretty flowers. The walk to the beach was short and pleasant. Easy to walk and comes out next to a lifeguard—nice! Bedrooms were nice, though pillows were flat. Bring your own if you want fluffy one! There were a lot of pool toys and a nice beach cart at the house, which was great! We contributed some noodles for the next crew to enjoy. :)

Family Gathering tonCelebrate Sons Marriage

We chose this house to gather together and celebrate my sons marriage with a vow ceremony and catered dinner. It worked out perfectly and the house was so comfortable. We were not blessed with great weather but enjoyed our time so much.

Nice property

House was clean and well maintained. Pool and hot tub were very nice and clean too. House has lots of beach chairs, toys, and tubes available… so you don’t need to bring a lot of beach gear.

Previous guests

Sadly, the guests staying the week before us were not who was expected according to housekeeper. This made the cleaning process difficult . For example, dishes were put away that had not been washed. Other than not being as clean as we expected, we would rent this property again. The house, pool and grounds are lovely. We especially enjoyed the trees and foliage. The beach is also a short walk away and shopping is very convenient.

Clean, modern and well supplied home in Corolla

This house is so well maintained and organized. There is everything and more well organized in the cabinets making it so easy to live there for your vacation. I wish it was a street closer to the beach, it does take 5-7 minutes but if its not too hot, its good enough. They even leave you a beach buggy to take your stuff over in!

Great House - Read your contract

The house was great- pool and hot tub clean, rest of the house clean. The kitchen was mostly well stocked and water pressure was good in the bathrooms. It was nice to have linens provided. There was also a great beach cart which was a surprise. It's close to the beach access but still felt like more of a hike than we'd anticipated but we'd stay here again. The decks were nice- there was a swing close to the hot tub and two Adirondack chairs on the top deck. It could use more seating on the decks and the Adirondack chairs are very dark so they got hot easily. Not a huge deal. The house was nicely spread out- we had three families (6 adults 6 kids) and it was great to have all the room. The deck and stairs could use some love- we had to hammer down two nails and one of the kids got a splinter (surprised we didn't have more.) This is managed by an outside property company. They were quick to respond to the fridge downstairs not reaching temperature and one other issue. The cleaning fee changed between booking on VRBO (June) and signing the contract (October). Two days before checkout we were told we had to be out at 9am instead of 10am. I was informed this was a change due to extra cleaning but went back and forth with them about what is in the contract. None of this had to do with the home. The home was beautiful and we'd stay here again. I'd read the contract closer next time.

Perfect 🥰

Great location only a few minutes walk to the beach. It is inside a quiet and friendly neighborhood. The house was pristine and exactly as pictured. There was plenty of room for everyone so we didn't feel crowded. Pool was clean and there were pool floating chairs (donuts) in the closet. We are thinking about renting this property again next summer.

Beach, pool and food fun!!!

7 of us thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach. 2 1/2 blocks away from the beach was just close enough for the walk and ability to hear the waves at night. The pool was enjoyed by all. We stocked up with food and cooked every evening. The house was plenty spcious for many more people and decorated nicely. Extremely clean. Stocked with plenty of beach and pool toys, basketball, volleyball etc. No need to bring anything from a recreational perspective. Room for improvement: Very limited outdoor furniture. It'd be nice to have a table a chairs to sit at on the top deck. The pool had just enough seating for us, imagine a larger group might be disappointed with the minimum amount of seating. The TV's sound is awesome for movies but just to have a tv show on in the background, we just wanted basic stereo sound and it was hard to tweak the system to sound like a normal television. Overall an excellent house, lots of fun and a fantastic week. Thank you!!! Rick

Perfect spot with loads of room to accommodate our family. We spent all our time in the pool and our little girls were "mermaids" all week. Also, perfect spot to celebrate our daughter and son in law's birthdays.

Great house ! OBX 2020

We loved this house, so many great memories were made here! The house is situated in a perfect location, it is on a private lot yet so close to the beach. We are all cooks, so we loved that the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our elaborate meals. The pool is huge as is the pool patio , there was so much room for our entire party to play altogether. We enjoyed the spacious multiple decks and of course the hot tub! Kids and adults loved playing volleyball in the afternoons as well as basketball. Our only observation is that the patio furniture was a bit scarce , there weren't enough chairs to accommodate all of us. We carried our own beach chairs up and down the steps when we wanted to sit together. We also love to eat outside, and felt like an outdoor dining table would be ideal on the top deck. Thank you you for renting to us . We hope to be back next year : )

Summer 2019 in Corolla

My group (9 adults, 6 children) had a great time at this property in July 2019! The house was very similar to the pictures provided online (updated/clean), so we got what we were expecting. The six bedrooms and bathrooms were great. The furniture in the house was very nice. The pool and volleyball court were both nice features (the pool table and hot tub also got some use). The upstairs area was very clean and open, with lots of seating for meals and relaxing (and the sweepable floor was beneficial). The walk to the beach wasn't bad, because even though you are three blocks back, it is very close to the access trail (only takes 5 min walk to be on the beach, and the beach wagon at the house made transporting gear very easy). Additionally, there were some beach/pool toys including skim boards, pool noodles, basketball/volleyball, etc. available at the property (while not necessary, it would be an added benefit if a few more beach chairs, functional boogie boards, and bikes were available). While there were plenty of seats down at the pool area, there was not much deck furniture (beyond the swing), which would have been nice for outdoor meals. Overall, we were very impressed with the house and the whole rental process, feel like the house met our expectations from the online listing and was well worth the money, and would consider renting this house again in the future (as well as recommend it to others). Thanks for a great vacation!
