I have to say I was really disappointed in the property and Brindley Beach's management. I get very little time off and this was a very much needed time to myself. The house was not as it was advertised.
HOT TUB: I wrote in ahead of time to ask if the hot tub was working and was assured that it was. It was not. I was there from Friday until Tuesday and it did not work the entire time. They did send someone out who checked the levels, skimmed the pool, and switched the breaker on and off. He was nice but clearly not someone who could actually repair the pool. I had to call about it multiple times on Saturday, they said the electrical guy could come on Monday and he never did. There was no more follow-up.
The good: The house matched the description and pictures.
BEACH ACCESS: From the pictures you can clearly see that the house has access to the beach right next to it. These stairs have been washed out, removed, and closed by the community. This is not a surprise. It clearly happened weeks ago and yet the listing misleads people to thinking it is still there. You cannot really see the beach from the property because of the dunes and, until the stairs are fixed, you will not have access to them.
BRINDLEY: I get that problems happen and issues come up. The house seemed to be in generally good condition overall so I don't think the owner's were negligent. I'm most upset that I specifically reached out ahead of time and was given wrong information about the hot tub. Also, it's clear that the stairs are out from the caution tape left up. This to me, clearly speaks to Brindley not following up and making sure the property is what it is being advertised as. When I called, I was treated as if this was "just one of those things" and that it wasn't Brindley's problem. I was offered a small amount of money back but that wasn't why I was calling. I was told there really wasn't much they could do as long as the house was habitable. So, I can confirm, the house was habitable.
In conclusion, I was upset. For a variety of reasons this was something I really needed and spent time to make sure I was going to get what I was paying for. I'm not someone who leaves complaints or calls people out but I notice now, there aren't really recent reviews for this property. What sent me over the edge was seeing that the property listing is exactly the same as before when they now know that the problems exist. Who knows how long these problems have actually been there.
