Just 1.5 miles from Coldstream and 15 miles from Berwick and the coast is the charming tiny community of Cornhill-on-Tweed, which is located on the northernmost edge of Northumberland and the Scottish Border. It is a serene place with stunning open countryside that is ideal for walkers and golfers, and the River Tweed is a major draw for anglers. The Heritage Coast of Northumberland, which features castles, miles of white sand beaches, animals, and dunes, is only a 30-minute pleasant drive from Cornhill. Only 40 minutes separate you from Alnwick, which has a historic Norman castle and garden. The community has a post office/shop that provides the majority of necessities and a country house hotel called The Collingwood Arms that is well known for its high-quality meals and beer.
