The location was incredible but the staff was pretty unhelpful and were not proactive. The weather was bad but the staff did not do much to help make the stay easier. There was no follow up when asked about stuff. The staff made you feel as though you were bothering them.

The plants are full of life. Neat bathroom with plants, live crabs, little lizards are in the bathroom too. Beautiful views of the carribean. Delicious drink and foods. Not one single complaint.

Loved our stay

Excellent stay and service. Staff can help you with any request or question. Beautiful location and well maintained beach. Hike to the town (30 mins) goes through a forest, be sure to bring some good shoes if you plan to walk there.

Excellent service, food, resort. experience!

These guys take care of everything. Make sure you book the ocean front with the plunge pool. Not all bugaloos have pools. The hotel pool is gorgeous too and the entire island is a photo op. Gorgeous. Snorkeling is decent. 2 big Nurse sharks and a stingray. Lots of tropical fish. Beach is gorgeous food is great! Definitely plan to return soon.

I will recommend this hotel to anyone! I was sick for the duration of my trip and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They offered to make special meals, provided amazing concierge service, inquired with my husband about my wellbeing and provided a 5 star experience. The staff at this hotel are amazing. Amenities are terrific. We stayed in a room with a plunge pool and in a boat room. Both were fantastic experiences. Views are incredible.

The location of Yemaya Reefs is divine. We splurged to stay in the luxury casita and it was truly magical. Staff were lovely, food was great. Wine was extremely overpriced so if you plan on having wine with dinner I would suggest bringing your own. Sadly the weather wasn’t on our side but would love to come back and experience this place in all its glory.

Another Day in Paradise

Yemaya Reefs is perfection. From the door-to-door service from Big Corn airport (definitely worth it to reserve transportation through Yemaya as opposed to finding a taxi from Big Corn airport to the harbor and then finding a water taxi) to the welcome drinks to every member of the team greeting you by name to the sheer beauty of the location and facilities… its perfection. With so few rooms, beach and pool loungers were always available even when the hotel was booked to capacity. The food and cocktails were spectacular, with new dinner specials every night. I stayed in a Beachfront Casita and was impressed with the spaciousness of the room and bathroom. 10/10 no notes.

A dream!

An amazing experience! If you’re looking for a nice relaxing vacation, this is the place to be! Excellent service and attention from the concierges and staff, and the food was incredible everyday! The rooms are very cute and clean, and so nice to be so close to the beach and wake up overlooking to ocean. Thank you so much for a great experience and hope to return soon!

The rooms are excellent. The bathroom is an interesting indoor/outdoor hybrid. It is completely sheltered, but has a partial ceiling screen to the outside for fresh air. The bed was very comfortable. I had a patio with a nice ocean view. The restaurant food was excellent, as was my spa experience. While I loved it here, if you are looking for excitement, this is NOT the place for you. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing expereince in a beautiful location, this is the place!

The Best Hotel in Central America! Unbelievable!

This hotel and island, was one of the best experiences I ever had in my travels. The island is unbelievable, it is un discovered, not developed, very peaceful, no cars, no bikes, etc. The service and management were top tier. Mr. Ricardo is the best! This place has a special place in my heart and I will for sure be back often! Thank you!

I enjoyed my stay at Yemaya. It is a BEAUTIFUL property and perfect for when you need a restorative reset. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. I enjoyed the food, beach, pool, and the yoga and meditation sessions. Be prepared for a bumpy ride to Corn Island but this of course contingent on the weather. The hotel arranges all of your transportation to and from the hotel which is very helpful! I would definitely stay here again and recommend you stay here too. You will not regret it.

The internet was excellent even in the very remote location. The staff was great and the concierge staff made sure everything was smooth. There was access to drinking water which was great, but the wait staff would often not notice that our glasses needed refilling during meal times. The dessert selection and quality definitely requires more thought and planning. DO not forget to take bug spray, even in windy conditions. We had a great relaxing time, unwinding and enjoyed the small exclusive property.

The hotel room, view, staff and facility. Did not like to take a boat and pay 10 $ x2 everytimw to go to the village. Nothing around there. If it's raining the path to go to the village is extremely mudy and difficult. They should create a walking path to the village with rocks or ciment. Everything else is amazing. I had a beautiful experience and the room with the swimming pool was a real treat.

I have to be honest and say that I loved this property right up until the end of my stay. One restaurant, that’s fine. Just chill place. Then, on the way back to Big Corn, they decided to use a tiny boat to transport us. We were drenched to the bone and then had to get on a plane immediately afterward. Even when I tried to change clothes at the airport, everything in my suitcase was drenched. I have no idea why they took the small boat, instead of the big one they picked us up in, but it completely ruined my trip and make the whole way home unbearable. So bad.
