"La Casita" is a small, traditional, welcoming holiday home in the heart of Cómpeta, an iconic white village. It has bags of character. The terrace has great views across the village & down to the coast allowing you to enjoy the sun all day and experience Andalucía’s infamous sunsets. La Casita has 1 bedroom (king-size bed & AC) & everything you need for a perfect holiday. It is fabulous place to relax & unwind after a day exploring the mountains, the coast or a trip to Málaga or Grenada.

Charming apartment with wonderful sunny terrace

Ideal for solo traveller or couple. Minutes from main square. Guy a responsive host. The terrace is a joy...sunny morning til night with beautiful view and sunsets. The people of Competa are friendly and helpful too.

Lovely cottage

The property was beautifully presented and very clean. One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. A lovely large terrace to enjoy the views of Competa. Guy was excellent and responsive to any questions I had. The only consideration is the cottage is at the top of the village and may not be suitable for some due to accessibility.

Beautiful La Casita

This was my second stay at this lovely house, and this time I had the pleasure of staying there for 6 weeks. It is perfectly located, a few minutes walk to the plaza, but tucked away so that there is no noise from Competa's many festivals, which can go on until 6:00am! La Casita has been styled to make great use of the available space. It's a traditional Spanish house, but with all the mod cons that we have to have. It's a very comfortable house, with a bed you don't want to get up from and an all-day sunny terrace you don't want to leave as Competa has magnificent sunsets. Guy is a brilliant host, from booking to the end of my stay, he answered any queries within an hour. There was a problem with the washing machine, which couldn't be repaired, so Guy had a new one delivered and fitted. This really wasn't too much of an issue for me, but Guy kept me informed, and a new one was delivered and plumbed in within a few days. He very generously refunded me some money for the inconvenience. I would highly recommend La Casita, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on future visits!

Very happy with my decision to stay at la casita in competa, the entire experience has been brilliant. Guy is a very accommodating host, the communication was easy and he was always fast to respond, he went above and beyond giving me tips about the town and introduced me to a great language teacher. The house itself is lovely, traditional style but contemporary decor, and everything worked well. The bed is amazingly comfortable!! I was there for a long stay (6 weeks) starting in April and my first week or so had some unseasonably cold and wet weather. There is AC/heat in the bedroom and a small portable electric heater, which was a great relief! However the house became more comfortable when the summer weather arrived, particularly because I could then open all the shutters to let in natural light (a few windows are not glazed) and because I could use the dining area outside on the terrace. Being a traditional stone house, it stays nice and cool inside when it’s too hot to be out in the sun. Competa is a very special town, lots going on yet only a few minutes from the natural park where you can hike for hours in beautiful landscapes and hardly see a soul. I hope to come back and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at la casita again in future.

Casita on the hillside

Lovely little pied-a-terre in Cómpeta, just up the hill from the centre of town, with great views, a bit calmer environment, and easy access to the hiking trails in the national park. Very well thought-out small space, with just what one needs to be self-sufficient and comfortable.
