Historic Crystola cabin

Historic Crystola Cabin sits at the entrance of Crystola Canyon near Woodland Park. It is one of the original cabins that was built in the 1920’s in the Crystola Township. This little getaway is nestled in the pines at the base of Pikes Peak and is a perfect spot to be away from the crowds yet close to all the activity. It is a cozy, comfortable, remodeled, romantic cabin for couples yet ideal for a small family.
Prepare your meals in a fully equipped kitchen that includes a table with seating for 4 or grill and eat out on the deck or relax at the firepit while viewing the deer and wildlife. All the amenities you need to feel as relaxed as possible during your stay are here, including an in-unit washer & dryer, free wireless internet access, netflex, electric fireplace, upgraded stove and refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, crockpot, some basic ingredients and spices , linens, towels and paper products, hair dryer and iron, etc. All for your convenience. A homey living room equipped with a 50” TV, DVD; with a small DVD library. This cabin has one bedroom with a queen size log bed that sleeps two and a sofa that opens up to a queen size bed for extra sleeping. Bedding and linens are included. It sports only one bathroom that is equipped with a standing shower.
For our guests assurance, we strive to have a safe and peaceful environment by disinfecting the cabin after each guest leaves and is covid free.
Close to winter & summer activities in a western mountain setting, you never lack for things to see & do. It is .10 mile from the famous Crystola Roadhouse Pub & Highway 24. Manitou Springs is a 20 minute drive where there is something for everyone—5 minutes from Woodland Park and a 45 minute drive to the historic gold rush town of Cripple Creek & Victor where you can enjoy fine dining & gaming fun as well as tour gold mines from yester-year and today. For the outdoor enthusiasts, there are numerous trail heads within a few miles from the cabin for hiking, biking, snowshoeing & ATV’s. Within an hour’s drive is excellent "gold-rated" fishing on the North Platte River. No one is left out.

Bev takes so much care in keeping the cabin pristine! Easy check in process, beautiful place, nice location that was close to hiking and things to do but also felt tucked away and private. Bev was very kind and had great recommendations! Wonderful stay, would recommend.

Perfect Cabin & Great Location!

This cabin was extremely clean & has everything you need. Owners are very responsive & will make sure you have a great stay. We really enjoyed our vacation for the week & evenings on the decorated patio with a scenic view of the mountains. Great location near Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, plenty of hiking trails & many other activities to keep you entertained. I recommend this cabin for anyone in the area.

Senior Trip

Love the cabin and beautiful scenery. Didn’t spend much time in the cabin except to sleep. We were out seeing the sights from early morning to late. The cabin is perfect for small family or two adults.

Fall in Colorado

We spent 3 weeks at the cabin, the longest we've stayed in one place in years. This was a convenient base for all the places we wanted to see. For the two of us, there was plenty of room. We had all the comforts we needed, especially since we ate in most nights. Bev and her daughters were very gracious and helpful. If we come back this way we will definitely be staying here again.

Great cabin

Large cabin near Woodland Park. Exceptionally clean and well appointed with everything you need for a home away from home. The cabin was spotless when we arrived and the owner did everything possible to make our stay better than anywhere we have ever stayed. Would we recommend this place.... Absolutely yes!

Colorado Springs getaway

This was a perfect cabin for two and in a great location to where we wanted to explore. Bev was a perfect host and responded to any concerns or problems that we had. She even accommodated 2 extra people staying one night. Went above and beyond setting the bed up. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Colorado Springs.

Great Stay

The property is very conveniently located and in a beautiful area. We were able to drive across the Continental Divide, take day trips to Royal Gorge, Air Force Academy, Pike's Peak, Colorado Springs, Ft. Carson. Perfect size and location for our small group, kitchen, laundry, outdoor spaces for grilling, eating outside, playing in the yard. Feels secluded even though it is right off the highway for easy access. The owner was fantastic, property is extremely clean and well maintained, wonderful personal touches and amenities, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely book again.

Log Cabin getaway

Property was as presented. Owner was very friendly and a joy to speak with. Quiet surrondings and easy access to Woodland Park and Manitou Springs. Great for morning coffee and breakfast on the porch. Would easily stay there again if we choose to vaca in that area instead of seeing other parts of the greater Rocky Mountains. Crystola Cabin - A wonderful retreat!

My Husband and I stayed at the Crystola cabin in August 2019 and loved every minute! Bev does such a great job of making you feel welcome with easy communication about your stay and check-in, as well as with homey touches to the cabin. If you enjoy watching birds then you're in for a treat as the large feeder just off of the porch attracts beautiful native CO birds. We ate our breakfast outside each morning to enjoy the cool air and mountain views, along with our new feathered friends! The location of the cabin is great as you are not far from many area attractions and hiking trials. I highly recommend the Crystola Cabin if you are looking for a quiet place to relax and soak up the mountain views.

The Crystola Cabin was just as described except all the little goodies that the host has provided that make your stay perfect! The cabin was quiet, lovely eating area out on the patio, bedding comfortable, lots of kitchen items, coffee and goodies.,,everything was great! (Would have loved a reading light in the corner by the rocker.) Warning if it makes a diff...no TV just Netflix. But good Wi-Fi.

Perfect Cabin with full amenities

This cabin was perfect in every way. Check-in was easy and even though we drove in late, the owner came to meet us and answer any questions we had. The cabin has all the amenities you could ever want. I had brought some condiments, but none were needed. The bathroom was stocked with towels, wash cloths, toiletries, etc. We hosted some guests staying in the area for a few dinners and the outside patio was the perfect place to gather and eat. We also used the grill, so nice to cook outside in the perfect evening weather. My husband signed up for a massage which was just a couple doors down too. There are no regrets on staying here, so don't hesitate.

Pure Bliss

I had an amazing stay. Bev was so welcoming and her attention to detail is second to none. The cabin was very cozy. Bev goes above and beyond. Homemade sweets which were delicious! If you forget something not to worry, Bev has you covered. The location of the cabin was ideal for me. Woodland Park is a super cute town. Walmart is 3 minutes away! There is so much to explore. You can't take a wrong turn. It's a short drive to Colorado Springs if you want to head that way. Dont't think twice. I have only the best things to say about Bev and the cabin. It was peaceful, comfortable and perfect. Book it!

Historic Crystola Cabin - Woodland Park, CO

When we first arrived to our cabin we felt so welcome. The cabin was clean and it was exactly as descibed in the listing. The owner had provided everything we could possibly require and so much more. The kitchen was equipped with all of the essentials and we had a very nice gas grill on the patio. We saw lots of wildlife including moutain birds, rabbits, mule deer and marmot's near Pike's Peak. This is such a beautiful place to stay and enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of places to eat or pick up something to throw on the grill. And there was plenty to do, even if Mother Nature decided to cool the air down with a shower or two. The nights were cool and the bed was so comfortable. After a great day of hiking and a glass of wine to end the evening, this cabin was a home away from home and we can hardly wait to come back ! Thank you so much for a wonderful time and inviting us into your cabin home. God Bless !

This cabin is always a joy to spend our time in Colorado. It's clean, equipped with everything a person could possibly need during a stay and having a washer and dryer is a plus. I definitely would recommend this cabin for a great place to stay.

Hidden Gem

I cannot say enough good things about this little cabin. The location is perfect. It is perfectly clean, the cutest decorations, and just the greatest little place to stay. We will definitely revisit this little treasure.
