Very beautiful retreat—you will love it!
We greatly enjoyed our stay here! The house is comfortable and clean, and the views are amazing! We also enjoyed the location as we were able to visit Pike’s Peak, Garden of the Gods, the Mollie Kathleen gold mine, and the Indian cliff dwellings. We loved hiking in the Pike National Forest and fishing on the South Platte River. Our kids (ages 2 and 4) had a great time also. Thanks, owners!
There is plenty of space in the secluded cabin in the woods near Woodland Park, CO. Everything is explained on how to follow the rules and this cabin is well equipped to have a fantastic stay. Plan ahead to get rid of your garbage. Have fun!

Our family stayed at this property during our Colorado vacation. The house was spit spot clean. Irena the housekeeper is phenomenal. She worked very hard to have the house ready on short notice due to a glitch in our original booking. Julia and her team made our stay very enjoyable while we were there. The location is very convenient to Manitou Springs, Woodland Park and Colorado Springs. The house worked out great for the 7 of us with plenty of room for our grandchildren to play. Thanks Julia!

We travelled to Colorado Springs for an event, and stayed in this peaceful home for four days. It’s beautiful! Very clean, comfortable beds, lots of space, but mostly lots of porch space to enjoy the the mountains and the stars at night! Unbelievable views, and completely surrounded by nature.
I brought up some toys from the unfinished basement/ playroom for my children, and they played for hours. We never even turned on a tv.
The drive into Colorado Springs every day was breathtaking, and on the way we visited a wolf sanctuary, Garden of the Gods, and Manitou Cliff dwellings. There is so much to do!
The host is prompt with communications, we felt very well cared for.
Check in process was very easy, and house rules were very straight forward.
We loved our stay. Again, that view!
Nice house location. A few things were not good; steep driveway with rocks was hard to walk on. The beds were VERY tall, I could not get in them without using a chair for assistance. The gas for outdoor grill was out, we replaced gas. had to transport trash into town the day of ck-out, very inconvenient. Towels in bathroom were damp when we arrived, not sure they had been washed; dishwasher had not been un loaded. Only one TV on upper level, would have liked one on lower level . Cleaning asked to do before check-out was excessive. Overall, nice location and house

Great Host, beautiful remote location, very accomodating and clean house
If you are considering this house do not think twice about it! We were here in the winter time, actually during a blizzard! The house is very warm, clean, accommodating, and with awesome views of the mountains all around. It is just remote enough to feel like you are off the grid, but still reasonable driving distance to everything you need. The neighbors were very nice as well! The house was well equipped for our group of 7, kitchen utensils, towels, sheets, board games, satellite TV, WiFi, etc. You might need a 4-wheel drive vehicle if you are staying in the winter time, as there are some gravel and dirt roads coming in, but not at all severe, and certainly shouldn't be an issue in the summer months...just something to be aware of if it is snowing or very wet out. Julia is a GREAT host as well! She took care of us on short notice, as we had rented another property that we found to be grossly misrepresented upon arrival into town. Julia was more than accommodating and very considerate of our situation, she gave us every bit of information that we needed and really helped to make our stay enjoyable! What else can I say - great location, great house, and a great host!
First I have to say the owners were very easy to work with. Initially we booked this location because they allowed us to bring our dogs and proximity to Colorado Springs. After we were given the address it appeared to be located closer to Denver than Colorado Springs...but after speaking to the owners they confirmed that was incorrect. It is just a few minutes north of Woodland Park which is also very close proximity to Colorado Springs. We wanted a mountain retreat and boy did we get it! The house is literally sitting on the side of the mountain. We visited the week of Christmas and rented a 4x4 to take with us from Texas to Colorado and I am thankful we did. It had snowed prior to our arrival and the 4x4 vehicle was needed to get into the drive way. I suspect this would not be an issue in the Summer or Fall. The neighborhood is very nice and the views of the mountains out the windows and from the patios is amazing. We easily visited Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak and many businesses in the Colorado Springs and Woodlands Park areas. The drive back to the house is filled with more joyous views! We were able to get our dogs out on leashes and walk in the snow and around the area easily.
The house itself is basically 3 stories. There is an unfinished basement at the bottom, Living, kitchen, bath and 2 bed rooms on the second floor. The third floor has a nice master bedrooms, kids room/ closet, huge bath and a 2nd living room. There is just one TV in the house and it would have been nice to have more but we really were not there to watch TV. The owner had even decorated the house for Christmas with a tree and lights. We enjoyed the patios very much and there are 5+ sitting areas around the exterior of the house. The only down side was the house was not filled with many supplies. I'd recommend bringing trash bags, paper towels and any other storage (baggies or plastic you may need) as well as cleaning products you may need during your stay. I had sanitizing wipes but no windex to wipe down glass tab.es etc. The garbage was a situation for us. Owner states it comes on Thursdays and requests you put the can out, however were not there on a Thursday and the trash stations were no where near any where we were going. Thankfully we found a nice neighbor who my husband offered money to to allow us to use his can. All in all we loved the house and location and will book again.
We had such an amazing time . The only Downside was the WiFi did not work for all of us . Other then that it was amazing and can’t wait to visit again. The view was beyond amazing
Great property just as described clean wonderful views quite serenity easy access to Woodland, Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak and surrounding attractions
The place in very nice and spacious. Well maintained and set in a very Beautiful Colorado setting. The views are breathtaking and set far enough into the wilderness for that perfect rest with nature and yet close to everything worth seeing in the area. A must stay with friends or family with lots of room for all!!
