Renew yourselves in the tranquilizing atmosphere of this comfortably furnished bungalow. The Master Suite is privately located upstairs with it's own bathroom including a make up table.
You will find yourself surrounded by wildlife, church bells and the whistle of the steam train which is visible from the deck along with the picturesque Sande Cristo Mountains. Enjoy grilling on the large deck just off the fully equipped country kitchen. You have the view of downtown Cripple Creek. You will be walking distance to Casinos, Dinning and Shopping. Find hiking trails, ski slopes, hunting and fishing not far. Less than an hour from the Royal Gorge, River Rafting, Sky coasting and Zipline. There is always something happening in Cripple Creek from Donkey Derby Days, Rodeos at the Fair Grounds, The Ice Carvings, Music and street dances (google activities and listen to the street bands play from the deck)
Explore the town of Victor , tour and learn the mining history at Molly Kathleen Gold Mine and Museum. Enjoy live plays at Butte Theatre on Bennett Ave.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please start washer on hot, using 2 pods, place all towels, wash clothes, kitchen towels/dish clothes in wash. Stripe all used beds. Clean up after your dog, wash dirty dishes, take out all trash.
If heat is on, set temperature to 59 degrees. Close windows, turn lights off and lock doors upon leaving.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

Only 1 dog allowed. Must kennel if left unattended. No breeds deemed as high-risk by insurance companies! Must clean up after your pet.
Open windows for fresh air and breeze. Close windows if it is raining or snowing. Do not leave windows open when home is not being occupied.
Fireplace is in-operable and is not listed as an amenity for safety reasons. Those not experienced in lighting gas appliances propose a safety risk.

A Home Away From Home

A great place to stay in Cripple Creek. It has everything we could have wanted or needed: Great kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and family room. The T.V. was terrific. Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance from downtown and the narrow gage railroad. Close drive to fishing and hiking. For sure we will be guests in the future.

Long weekend in Cripple Creek

Great property to visit Cripple Creek (not many that are non-casino related). Beautiful views from back deck, and did see the deer next to property on multiple times.

House was clean and perfect size for 2 adults and 2 children. The host was amazing with communication and helpful with suggestions on things to do! Wildlife in the area-had some friendly deer every morning! We would definitely stay again.

Close to 'old town' Cripple Creek

House was built about 1900 and is about 3 blocks for the main street of 'old town' (my term) Cripple Creek. Easy to get to good restaurants, museum and casinos. Great location.

Great views!

Not only was the house beautiful but the views from the hilltop were great. We loved watching the deer in the backyard. The home was comfortable and our host provided everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Great house

Well appointed house. Had all the kitchen items you might need. Very conveniently located to main street yet feels like you're in the countryside. Beautiful views, had deer in the yard.

Wonderful

We stay at this wonderful home over the Christmas holidays and had a blast!!! The home was so cozy and welcoming. I love to cook vs eating out every night and found the kitchen to be stocked with everything I needed to make a traditional Christmas meal. We woke up to see deer in the yard most mornings. I look forward to returning to this home again and again!!!!

Amazing is an understatement

4th of July is a must. This house had a birdseye view for the spectacular event. The house was warm and inviting, well maintained. The host stocked the house with every basic need imagined. I can’t wait to return !

The home was very clean and in a very walkable area. This home is so close to all the main attractions. Beautiful views and wildlife in the yard often. Wish it would of been communicated that the fireplace did not work, otherwise a great place.

Amazing House and Location

The house itself was beautiful. It had all the amenities that we needed. The kitchen has everything you need to make a meal and the spacious table and island make it the perfect space to enjoy any meal. There are a lot of windows throughout the house, which allows you to see the wildlife. The house itself was not difficult to find and getting in was also easy. There is street parking that is conveniently located right in front of the house. The location is perfect. It's about a minute drive to dowtown and surrounding casinos. The host was very nice and communicated everything very well. Would definitely recommend this house for anyone staying at Cripple Creek.

Cute house close to "downtown" Cripple Creek

I have nothing bad to say about our stay. House is walking distance to the main drag in Cripple Creek (dining, museums, shopping and casinos). The house was clean and comfortable, and the owner is friendly and happy to help with any issues (we didn't have any, but we were given her personal number and told to call or text anytime if anything arose). I would stay here again, or recommend to friends/family without any hesitation.

Unexpected Fee for Service Dog Requested on Day of Arrival

Property was nice and clean as advertised; however, we were surprised on the day of arrival and hours before check-in that Susan requested a $20/day fee for our service dog. My wife and I tried twice to contact Susan thru Vrbo several weeks before arrival that we would be bringing a service dog. The reservation was made and paid for 1-month in advance of arrival. We never received a reply from Susan. I sensed that Susan might be concerned about a service dog in her house (she stated "I prefer no pets, service dogs allowed" but no fee was listed on the Vrbo site), so we purchased an insurance policy for $59 to cover any damages that may be caused by our service dog during our 3-night stay when we did not hear back from Susan. The very late, waited until day of check-in reply, and request for an additional $60 fee for our service dog seemed highly inappropriate. We were stuck. All other Vrbo rentals in the small town were booked. And Susan had our non-refundable money for the 3-night stay. At the end of the stay, the house was left as we found it, our service dog was never left alone in the house, and no damage was left inside or outside the house.
