Just ok

The hotel was in ok condition, little hard for our driver to find. Had a generator so even with the power outages, the power stayed on.

There was no hot water come out at the night I stayed and bathroom wasn’t clean enough and little bit smelly.... seemed like you haven’t got any guest to the room long time ...

Nice and helpful staff. Spacious king size room. Clean room. Nice food. Good view of the sea from the 4th floor restaurant. But construction work on the opposite building.

This property was certainly great value for money. Manager Janak, front desk assistant Rifaz and Sam the bellman were quite friendly and helpful. Ceylon City Hotel will certainly my fchoice of accommodation on future trips to Colombo.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Is located south of the main hustle and bustle of Colombo, which we appreciated as it was very quiet. You can get a tuk tuk from end of the hotel's road to the main part of Colombo for 300 rupees; much preferable to staying amongst the constant stream of traffic and tooting horns of the centre.

Compared to other hotels in CMB this hotel is ok

Compared to other hotels in Colombo this hotel is ok, for this price this is one of the best but its a bit lower standard for a three star hotel. Hotels are expensive in colombo so this hotel is cheaper compared to other hotels of the same standard. Hotel is in between Galle Road and marine drive close to Majestic city, so the location is convenient. Hotel offer fast wifi and 24 hour room service

Good 3 star hotel compared to hotels in Colombo

Good hotel in a good location. staff are very friendly they offered late checkout free of charge since my flight was in evening. The only negative thing was the cleanses of the toilet specially the corners of the shower area. Food is tasty and cheaper compared to other hotels in Colombo

Small and clean, but somewhat overpriced.

The Hotel was clean, and the staff were very good and professional. The main shortcoming was that the room was quite small, and therefore not value for money. Two people cannot walk simultaneously next to the bed; it is tight even for one person . Having said that, if I were travelling by myself, I would stay there because a known place is better than an unknown one.

Entspricht keinem 3 Sterne-Hotel

Das Personal an der Rezeption und beim Frühstück war sehr nett und bemüht, das war dann schon das einzig positive an diesem Hotel. Die Zimmer sowie im Flur roch es unangenehm gammlig. Laute Klimaanlage. Die Badezimmer sind mini und sehr ungepflegt. Überall verrostete, gammlige Gegenstände die man ungern anfasst. Im Badezimmer kam die Decke fast runter. Außerdem ist es wirklich sehr laut, Fensterscheibe war auch stellenweise defekt. Frühstück war ok. Wir haben 80€ für das Doppelzimmer bezahlt. Das ist für dieses Hotel definitiv zu viel.

Mr. Hamdan(Hotel receptionist) wanted me to go the club and he made me to spend over 30,000 rupy and also he wanted me to my cigareets everyday(I gave 3 packs of cigarettes to him)Most terrible thing was that I lent my sunglass which is Prada to his brother(we went to the club on that day) but he didnt give it back. I kept ask to bring it back but finally i couldnt see and talk to him. I really want to bring my sunglass back as soon as possible. Overall it was bad experience.
