"For £35/ night, I was quietly impressed. It was clean (sheets were clean). Maybe good if they cleaned mattress protectors. I did inspect whole bed, was concerned for the price, that there might be bed bugs. But thankfully none. It was quiet too. "Lovely place to stay, great staff and beautiful surroundings. We only stayed one night but felt like we made the most of what was on offer. Had a swim late in the evening and first thing in the morning, pool was slightly chilly but a good size and lovely for the kids. Room was spacious, comfy and clean. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. All the staff we met were very friendly, particular mention to Rebecca the receptionist who gave us a very warm welcome and explanation of the facilities. Enjoyed the grounds and the large flock of peacocks in the morning before we left- this was a stop off to break a long journey and we’d absolutely stay there again. "
