I can't fault a stay at the Assheton Arms. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food is great, the location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable.
Lovely quiet location, superb room in the cottage opposite the main pub. Food was lovely and catered for my gluten free requirements. We only stayed one night but would love to go back with our dog and check out the local walks for a weekend.
Family room was comprised of 2 separate rooms. Huge shower and bath. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful location / quiet village.

We really enjoyed our stay and the rooms we had for us and family were large and spacious . Food was excellent. Very clean and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in the beautiful village
Breakfast and service was excellent but the room was severely lacking in storage. The wardrobe had a hanging rail too high for most women to reach and there was no other place to put other clothes, or flat surface for the usual items. Hopefully this will be addressed in an otherwise pleasant hotel
Amazing stay yet again at Assheton Arms.
Can’t beat the peaceful tranquil location, or the hospitality of the team. Nothing is too much for them.
Good amazing too.
Great place to stay. Dog Friendly. Amazing food and comfortable beds. Couldn't fault the place!

Only a short stay as we were at a Wedding nearby. Lovely views, friendly staff, great breakfast and the room was spot on. Nice little touch with the l’Occitane bathroom products.
Setting was idylic, bar area was cosy and warm especially when log fire was burning. Staff very welcoming and charming. Restuarant lovely and food excellent, limited menu but prepared fresh.
Rooms very quaint, little one bedroom cottage, lounge area downstairs with Tv and upstairs a bedroom and bathroom with large bath and powerful shower.
Will certainly return
