The guiding principle for Jewel of the woods is to extend kindness, courtesy, and consideration, we happily extend to our guests.

The Jewel of the Woods is a NON-SMOKING house. Smoking is ONLY permitted outside of the main house. Please be considerate and dispose to avoid fire.

There is a utility closet downstairs and a couple of locked up closets. that guests are not allowed access, please do not remove hinges of doors.

Beautiful, clean cabin, great communication with host, close to Highlands with great shops and restaurants. Convenient to hiking trails and waterfalls in the area. The road back to the house is very narrow with some rough spots, so take your time! Disregard the signs that say “turn around “ and “not welcome.” We felt very welcome, and will definitely consider coming back in the future.

Great cabin rental

This cabin was beautiful. The views were amazing! The cabin was super clean and very well stocked. One of the best rental properties we've stayed at in a long time. Lots of room for families. The host and property manager were so great. Very quick to respond. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great Property For a Relaxing Getaway!

We had a great time at Jewel Of The Woods. The home was clean, comfy and a short drive to the Highlands. The owner has the property stocked with pretty much everything you could ever need, which was fantastic. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the area!

Close to Highlands!

The house is incredibly equipped with everything you need. The grounds and views are beautiful. We enjoyed to close proximity to Highlands and Cashiers, just a short drive to the NC border.

Great stay in, mountain hideaway!

We love this property. It is our second year back and we are already planning for a 3rd! Plenty of space for everyone, more amenities and improvements since our stay last year. Will keep coming back as long as we are able!

Beautiful location in the mountains of GA near the NC line. Well stocked house and we even found a gift basket waiting for us. Host was very responsive to every request we made.

The cabin was excellent. Matches the pictures if not better. Cabin is in very good shape with lots of extras including those blueberry bushes which the entire group enjoyed.Road into area is windy and gravel for quite a stretch but a Toyota Camry had no issues.Do understand that cell phone coverage isn't just spotty at the cabin but starts 15-20 minutes out but honestly isn't an issue once you get wifi on-site. Wifi was weak at times but once again not a showstopper.

Highlands Wedding Weekend Retreat

Well pleased with overall condition of property. House is very spacious and has an excellent open floorplan to promote group gathering on main floor, yet provides privacy for individuals/couples on the second and lower floors. If "life in the country" is what you want, the "Jewel of the Woods" will not disappoint.

Amazing views!

We had such an amazing time at this property! The views from the back porch are breathtaking. The property is very remote and truly in the woods. However, the commute feels worth it once it opens up to the beautiful Mountain View. Hanging out on the back porch on the patio furniture watch the sun rise or set was the best!

Beautiful home and beautiful views!!

We had a wonderful stay and loved the amazing views! The house is incredibly well stocked, the best I’ve been too as far as having every little thing you could think of. We had so much fun picking blueberries! We made blueberry pancakes each morning and blueberry cobbler for dessert! We drove to Secret Falls and did the apx 2 mile hike with a beautiful waterfall at the end you can swim to. Overall it was a wonderful stay! Renata is very thorough, kind and responsive!

Beautiful property with a few quirks

This home is situated on a beautiful, remote property. The views are outstanding. The layout is great and accommodated our large family group very well. It was not the cleanest property we have stayed at, and the wifi is not very reliable, so keep that in mind if you are planning to work or need internet. We had no issues with the neighbors. We loved seeing the farm animals across the street daily.

This place was truly a jewel in the woods. Far enough and situated perfectly, once you arrive you are in a fairy tale location far from the modern world. The owners directions were in fact the most perfect I'd ever received which made the drive easy and predictable. Once in the cabin, provided you've brought food, there is plenty of equipment to prepare and enjoy. We could have moved in forever, it was that nice.

LOVED The Jewel in the Woods!

We enjoyed our wonderful vacation in this lovely home. The back deck is a great outdoor space where we enjoyed morning coffee and cookouts while admiring the postcard-perfect mountain views and fall foliage. The kitchen is very well stocked and has all cookware that cooking enthusiasts need. We gathered for meals at the large dining room table, followed by downtime, sitting around the fireplace. The guest rooms are roomy and most had private bathrooms. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will consider returning in the future.

Gorgeous views and home

We had a wonderful experience at the Jewel in the Woods! The gps navigated us directly to the place! The views were phenomenal and the house was impressive! The beds were comfortable and each room had its own bathroom! The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and all the things you would have at home at more. We enjoyed every bit of the home and only wished we had more time off from work to stay longer! The people are so friendly and Renata was wonderful and communicated very well! I highly recommend!

Beautiful view

A beautiful house with a beautiful view too! Very well stocked kitchen and lots of games to play too! The “no airbnb or vrbo” signs posted along the way are a little unsettling and caused a delay in our family arrival, but we understand the owner does not control that. Located about 40 minutes from the nearest grocery store, but a great place to relax and unwind! Overall, a great house!
