"We spent a week at this lovely holiday home. It's comprised of 2 2-bedroomed cottages attached to each other but with separate kitchen and bathroom facilities. This worked brilliantly for our family of 3 teenagers and 2 adults., plus our dog. There's a beautiful courtyard as well as stunning garden with bbq, large decking area and plunge pool. "Arrival - we found the property with no issues. Property zip code took us straight there. Bedlinen and bathrooms were clean. Flies were a problem, mushroom growing in the shower, tiles in shower need updating and replacing, door latch plates were all loose (made doors difficult to close), we didn't manage to get the tv working at all, light fittings in the kitchen were hanging dangerously from the ceiling, oven very dirty and difficult to light (think the gas jets needed a clean - i gave up),...

Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. The Hobogîte: 4-Star Stone Cottage, EXCLUSIVE use Heated Pool & Acre of Gardens

"We were very happy with our stay at Hobogite. Lots of thoughtful care from our hosts Rob & Lene to provide everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Much appreciated!! It was extremely peaceful and the garden & grounds were gorgeous. We have booked again for next year which I think says it all. If I might be permitted to make a couple of small constructive criticisms. The key press was awkward to use, especially in the dark. We had eight or nine days of rain & therefore spent more time inside than we would have liked. The sofa wasn't the most comfortable, but it was OK. Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. The pool was lovely and although we were only able to use a couple of times due to weather, hopefully next year we'll spend more time down there. Rob and Lene, in lots of little ways, show how they genuinely care about the comfort of their guests & that they enjoy their stay. Who can ask for more? "

"We had a lovely stay here. Hosts very welcoming and helpful with information about the area. Lovely big room and ensuite overlooking the river. Comfortable bed and the room had a fan! The only stay of 4 that did provide a fan in the room which was a godsend in the heat that weekend. Really nice breakfast, fresh fruit salad, the greek yogurts were delicious, croissants, bread, cereals, jams, honey, my husband particularly liked the butter, ham, cheese, all very enjoyable. We hadn't intended to stay out late but the music festival was on, which was brilliant, but dark on walk home as no street lighting. Just make sure you have phone battery for torch to walk back late. This is not a negative, just a tip, because the place is lovely to stay over where it is situated on the river. "

We were met at the property, given all the details about the cottages and throughout, our hosts stayed in touch and were extremely helpful in providing information about eating out and activities in the area. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, well appointed and lacked for nothing. In short, we had a wonderful time and will certainly consider booking again without hesitation."

The location is wonderfully scenic and quiet and Thomas as host was brilliant - helpful and on hand to help manage the pool and share info about local activities and possible trips/places to visit. Very welcoming and friendly. The house was lovely - with plenty of space and everything you need to just unwind and relax. Evenings spent sitting outside under the stars were lovely. "
