Staff was very friendly and helpful

Breakfast spread was more than adequate. Staff were friendly. The downhill walk to a part of the city center is good 12 minutes. Good value for money!

It’s a lovely, historic property. Staff work very hard, it is clean and easy walking distance to Old Tbilisi and many tour pick up points. But because it is a small, private property, some of the fixtures are older and it’s not a sit around and relax sort of hotel. You have to plan things to get out and do.

"Boutique hotel" is a misnomer for what is, basically, a glorified guesthouse. It’s reasonably well run and also informal – staff dress casually. Rooms are pretty average and can be prone to a little street noise, even though this place is off Kote Abkhazi Street, the main drag in the old town. Actually locating the place itself can be an issue after dark, when signage for the alley it’s on can be hard to spot (the guesthouse is tucked away just out of sight if you’re on Kote Abkhazi St). Breakfasts are not bad and include eggs cooked to order, but the spread - which includes various cakes and the usual cheese and ham, but is short on Georgian staples such as pilau rice - is nothing special, and (typical of Georgia) breakfast starts at a relatively late 8.30 am.
