Island Sunrise is a gorgeous 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom duplex home located in desirable Piney Island. Not only is this house pet friendly, but it offers a deep water boat dock and 3 spacious decks. Aptly named, the sunrises and views of Assateague Island and the Assateague Channel truly are second to none! amazing sunrise but place is a little threadbare

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The sunrise is indeed truly lovely from the main bedroom (the other two bedrooms are on the other side of the house, but still with nice views), and we appreciated the many porches for reading. The location was excellent for going either shopping in Chincoteague or over to Assateague and the dock and channel access were amazing. The house itself though was a little threadbare -- we knew there would be no linens, but were a little dismayed about no screens in the doorways or windows, the poor lighting, utensils were greasy, limited access to TV channels (and as far as I can tell, no way to use your own accounts), hot water doesn't work in the main bathroom shower. Bring your own hairdryer! The internet when we arrived wasn't working, but the rental agency was very prompt in responding and Charlie showed up in twenty minutes to fix it (and succeeded!) Overall, we would stay again, but next time come better prepared.
