"The advantage was that the hotel is within walking distance of the main bus terminal and close to a tram stop. The shower also had amply supply of hot water. But the staff could use with better training in customer service. You should not have to wait several minutes when you arrive at 5:30 pm for someone to open up the door to check you in. The staff also had trouble finding my reservation once I did check in. "

"Wonderful stay in Cuenca! We had a great experience staying at Hotel Vaway in Cuenca. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The location was also very convenient for exploring Cuenca and enjoying the beautiful city. Everything was well maintained, and we really appreciated the attention to detail and hospitality throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Hotel Vaway to anyone visiting Cuenca. We would happily stay here again on our next trip to Ecuador! 🇪🇨❤️ Thank you to the entire Vaway team for making our stay so enjoyable!"

"Our experience was very good. However, the only issue we encountered was the strong kerosene smell on the third floor. The heating lamps located in the interior patio-which at night also operates as a restaurant, where the food is excellent, by the way- emit a very intense kerosene or gasoline odor, and because the patio has a covered roof, the smell ends up accumulating on the third floor."

"It was the best experience staying in this hotel . Everything was perfect the Staff . Our Host Mike was amazing he made sure we had anything we needed taking care of . The food was high quality cooked to perfection and plated beautifully not to mention the attention of the waiters. The administrator was awesome he had high knowledge of history and his attention to detail was great. The hotel is set on the edge of a volcano with large wall windows that looked inside the volcano laying in your bed and on the other side with an extraordinary city view. We could see the sunrise on one side and the sundown on the other. I strongly recommend this hotel 100%. I will definitely stay here again. I did not meet the owners but my congregation on the super well staff he has and the administrator."
