My husband and I stayed at The Godfrey Hotel Chicago to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We had a last-minute change of plans and booked the hotel, and it truly saved our trip! The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Everything felt welcoming and relaxing, and we were able to enjoy our anniversary and make wonderful memories together. We’re so glad we found The Godfrey and would absolutely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was super helpful. We didn’t make it to the roof top bar which turned into a club at some point in the evening. Smelled like a luxury hotel. I would classify this as an independent hotel trying to be in the luxury class.

Great place for the price we paid. Our room had a stellar view of down town. Great central location in the River North district. Walking distance to the river, loads of restaurants, bars and galleries. The roof top bar was swanky and has a really nice view as well. Well crafted cocktails but overpriced. The restaurant downstairs is convenient and has tastey fare but again way overpriced for what you get. A single cup of average coffee cost me six dollars before tip.

We were able to check in a little early, which was great. Our room was a clean and spacious double queen and we were delighted to find the bathroom had two sinks. There was also a small counter outside the bathroom with a sink and a Kuerig. The refrigerator was small with a glass door. We were in town for a Cubs game, so we weren't in our room much. Our beds and pillows were comfortable and we didn't hear any noise from the hall. We would stay there again.

There is a nightclub rooftop lounge that had a very loud party going on at2:30 am on a Saturday night - Also our room did not have a dresser but we traveling with others whose room did have one - The restaurant in the first floor was nice and very convenient and I really liked that our room was cleaned promptly each day

It has the potential of being an excellent hotel, but it's just lacking in a few areas. The location itself is perfect. It's close to public transportation and walking distance to so many attractions and restaurants. We stayed in the executive king and while the room was spacious, I was expecting more. There was no microwave, no shelves to put your clothes, no complimentary water bottles, no luggage rack and it just seemed dated. I don't think I would stay again, but the location is ideal.

The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. The bar staff on the rooftop was subpar at best. One of them on the inside provided good service but the 2 at the outside bar were not attentive or service oriented at all. The food through room service and onsite restaurant was not great. Limited options, no coffee available for room service and coffee maker in room did not work. Not a bad location.
