This Sonder property in Chicago’s South Loop was a pleasant stay. The apartment was well equipped with a full kitchen, as well as nice views. It is located close to a grocery store, some nice restaurants and the Roosevelt station, allowing easy access to the CTA orange, green and red lines. I would consider staying here again on a future visit to Chicago.

Many restaurants in neighborhood. Walkable to public transportation for cultural activities. It was not easy to contact a person when I had questions. The outdoor furniture was dirty, the broom unusable, there were marks on many walls, no spices or oil available. However, the bed was comfortable and there was a w/d in unit with pods available. No cable, but Roku tv.

Clean, spacious, sofa bed for 2 kids. It would be nice to have curtains as the blinds don’t block out the daylight when the sunrises.

We had a two hour problem trying to get the codes for the building and for the unit. Expedia and Sounder didn't seemed to be in the same communication channels. The phone call to Sonder was also lengthy.

Comfortabele appartment with nice, furnished balcony and well-equipped kitchen. Located conveniently close to subway and supermarkets. Safe neighbourhood. No staff or desk at the accommodation but very smooth communication regarding all aspects of the booking (confirmation, access code, early check-in). Would definitely stay here again.

Innanzitutto tutto molto pulito check-in ok ovviamente se uno è un po’ pratico con il telefono altrimenti non c’è nessuno che ti aiuti noi seppur non sapendo l’inglese ce l’ha siamo cavata bene. C’è tutto il necessario anche x mangiare.

Had I known this property operated via a virtual front desk I would have stayed clear. The room was okay, but the time wasted getting “preregistered” and receiving entry codes was frustrating to say the lease. The app that I was instructed to download did not work. When I did speak with a human I was told it was a connection issue with Marriot and Sonder. The room did not have basic amenities, such as a box of tissues, plastic cups, ice bucket, etc. It didn’t even have a Gideon Bible lol. Walking into the lobby remined me of the movie “Brazil.” No one was there but there were phrases such as “a better way to stay” and “we are with you” posted on the walls. I was lucky my access codes actually worked. My neighbor could not get into his room and could not get hold of anyone to help. My advice stay away from this property!

It was super easy to check in and park in the area. Plenty of space in the room. Easy to work all the amenities, and they had everything we could have needed!

Location terrible. Homeless. Smelt urine everywhere. Bed terrible- rough and noisy. Every time I moved it woke my boyfriend. Empty soap and etc…on the bath wall. No paper towels. One rag. Neighborhood have very shady characters. Do not come alone. Apartment wall need to be re-painted. Very disappointed. Over priced. Stay away. Drive there instead.

I liked the location. The room was a bit run down. The toilet paper roll fell off the wall. There was noticable grime on the walls. The plug for the bathroom sink was gross and needs to be replaced. It was disappointing that there was no fresh water (at least a couple of bottles). The tap water is not drinkable. And there was no vending machine to get water. The couch in the room was also pretty grimy and could stand to be cleaned. The bed was confortable and the A/C kept the room nice and cool even though the weather outside was extremely hot.

Great lodging!!! Very responsive staff and easy to access both light rail and busses (public transportation). A variety of cuisines nearby and great for grocery shopping with a spacious kitchen.

The building and apartments were good. The unit had flies, and it was filthy. I killed two spiders. It was just dirty, and the walls were scratched everywhere.

This apartment is in such a great location for walking to events at Soldier Field! We loved the floor to ceiling windows, the full kitchen, and the views. The apartment is stocked with coffee, dishwasher detergent, and laundry detergent. It’s an easy walk to Trader Joe’s and Roosevelt Station on the red line. I would’ve given this place five stars, but scuffs to the walls probably need to be repainted and luggage storage locker availability was hit and miss. There were no lockers available when we arrived in early from our flight, but plenty available on the last day before we headed to the airport. I would recommend timing your arrival close to check-in time just in case. Overall, a great stay though! Would definitely stay here again.

Extremely bad experience. Booked this property to attend an event near by, the property cancelled my reservation 2 days prior to the event (the hotels and rental's price went up significantly for the weekend due to the event, assuming this property eventually rented to someone else for a higher price). In summary, very unethical behavior and warnings to those who consider this property for your upcoming stay.

This property was so nice, we had such a great time here. We just wish there was more accessible parking available, and our door didn’t fully close unless it was pushed or fully locked. Overall it was a great experience.

Sonder – Chicago Stay Review Loved our stay at Sonder! The location was perfect—walking distance to tons of great restaurants and with easy access to public transportation. The apartment itself was beautiful, clean, and modern, with a stunning glass wall that really elevated the space. Quiet, safe, and well-maintained—ideal for a relaxing stay. The only downside? No closet or ironing board. While not a huge issue for leisure travel, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re in town for business—a few hangers and a closet would go a long way to keep suits from getting crumpled. Still, overall a fantastic experience. Would definitely stay here again! (No parking included)

Stay was absolutely great. The only thing I hated. No… I loathed… the parking. There’s is no parking. None. Zero. You have to drive around hoping someone leaves to get a spot within a 5 or 10 minute walk. Parallel parking to me is a breeze. I can parallel park a school bus. No joke. I can literally do it. So that’s not the issue. It’s the fact that there is no parking available.
