Charming B&B that has lots of nice touches. Wide staircase marked well so you don't trip. Well decorated rooms with luggage rack, multiple mirrors and tons of pillows on the bed. Everything was thought of, including extra towels, snacks, and even place cards at breakfast. Be aware that the rooms only lock from the inside, meaning you cannot lock your room while you are out for the day/evening.

Beautiful 1800"s home furnished with suitable to the era furniture. There are 5 bedrooms and are unique to their special name. We stayed in the McIntosh Room. Spacious enough for two, with comfortable bed. The only downside is that the bath is a shared bathroom with 2 other rooms, though honestly, we had no problems in sharing the bathroom. We were there just as fall had arrived so to fault the property for not having the leaves etc. picked up was not fair. Breakfast was delicious(quiche, with fresh fruit, bagels & muffins) and the decaf coffee some of the best I've had!

The Boxly Place Inn truly felt like a warm, welcoming retreat in Louisa, Virginia. This charming house, built in the late 1800s, is packed with character and a sense of history. It shows some wear from the years, but it’s still incredibly cozy and inviting. The hostess who greeted me was lovely, giving me a personal tour and sharing some interesting stories about the building, which made my visit feel special and unique. Overall, it was a wonderful experience—relaxing, comfortable, and just what I was hoping for, exceeding all my expectations.

Stayed here for a night on a road trip and I don’t think I could have made a better choice. Beautiful area, very homey and welcoming atmosphere, and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious homemade quiche, along with other continental choices. Heidi was the inn keeper during my stay and she was an excellent hostess. Would stay again!
