This is one of the worst motels ever. The lady at the front desk was very nice to me upon checking in. When I went to my room, the key card did not work. I had to go get another key card. When I opened the door to the room, the light switch did not turn the light on, and the lamp button did not turn the lamp on. I went to the front desk and the lady who was nice to begin with had an attitude with me telling me that you don’t turn the light on with the light switch. So I told her I will try again. After carefully setting the knob on the lamp at a certain spot, you could get the lamp to stay on because there is a short in it. There was no phone. The TV remote had sticky stuff all over it so it could not be touched and I could not use the TV. I noticed a little broken glass near the dresser. Upon further inspection, there was a full broken bottle that was under the dresser with little pieces of glass all over the floor. There was no latch on the door. The room smelled horrible. There were shady looking people walking around and hanging around the parking lot. There was security, but I guess he was not making these people leave. It was loud all night outside my motel room door and I did not feel safe to go to sleep. This motel needs a serious makeover. I stay in hotels and motels a lot, but this is the worst one I have ever stayed in.
A terrible run down property. Checking in thru a glass window made me feel like scum. My "non-smoking" room smelled like a cheap, stale cigar. Uncomfortable bed. Notices posted all over the office telling "weekly renters" to remove their trash or move out was the final straw. Awful place. DO NOT STAY HERE.
The place is rundown and dirty. One light didn’t work outlets and light switches were yellow. Had to change rooms because it had a strange really strong weird smell that was too miserable to be around. The whole place smells like cigarettes and some sketchy people around. My second room was supposed to be non smoking but still smelled like smoke. The woman at the front desk was helpful and nice though. She helped me change rooms and gave me some incense for the smell so thanks for that and I appreciate your help. The condition of the hotel isn’t her fault though. Overall it’s too run down for me and I wouldn’t stay there again unless I had too.
Room wasn't clean. I asked multiple times to have my floor cleaned as it appeared it had not been done in awhile. You are limited to two towels a day - no exceptions. They actually take your two towels so if you need a towel while yours are gone you are out of luck. You are also limited in toilet paper. They do not refill your bathroom while housekeeping is there. Instead, you actually have to to go to the front office and request toilet paper yourself where they hand you a roll.

Broookwood Inn, Charlotte NC
The Brookwood was an old hotel which, I presume, is being upgraded as the bathroom, floors and walls had been redone or at least painted, but the furniture and light fixtures were old and somewhat broken. The electronic keys for our room door didn't work and they had to come and fix the door before we could get a key.
