Our stay at the Iris was very nice and pleasant. The host was very nice and the communication was good with the host. They kept our luggage for us in the office when we needed them to. The entrance has a gate with a code to get in. Which is nice. And the cars are parked back there also., so your cars are safe and away from the streets. The pool is small but quaint. Not full sun , for sunbathing , but partial sun .. trees make it nice to sit there at night. Rooms are very clean! And they provide plenty of linens and towels.. the bed was firm, but still very comfortable. A lot of really really nice pillows and sheets were crisp, overall, very comfortable bedding. I had great sleep! Water dryer and dishwasher available. TVs, in the living room room and bedroom. The location of the Iris is literally at the very end of Upper king street.. which is fine..there were some restaurants and things as you started walking up King. And even a few side streets also have restaurants.. But if you want to be very very close to the shopping area of king and where the majority of restaurants are .. expect to walk 15 or 20 minutes. . To get there.. but plenty of things on your way to the shopping area. The middle of king is realistically where most people want to stay . If you’re coming between October and the beginning of next spring 2026 there was major construction of many large buildings close to The Iris. It was very noisy, but we couldn’t hear it from our room.
