Wonderful hotel

We had an amazing time at the hotel. The staff are wonderful and always ready to help. I was very concerned about bedbugs but they showed me official certificates and offered a doctor for my son that had mosquito bites. The hotel is clean and has the perfect location. The mini golf in front of the hotel that is not a part of the hotel was also cozy and great place. You have everything around you and the beach is also wonderful. Thank to the amazing staff at the bar, cleaning and reception.

This hotel is not ocean front and most importantly it was UNSAFE! So UNSAFE that we left few day’s earlier and did not get a refund. Workers were rude, AC not working, and room was very dirty. Would never go back and unsafe for females.

Very nice view from our balcony. We stayed at the Lia apartments in front of the beach. The hotel area around the apartments were very Nice, with a little garden in the back, and a fountain in front of the hotel. We had some trubble getting in contacts with the hotel per. e-mail before we came. Bur we got help and answers when we called them on the phone. Very friendly and helpfull staff, and a pleasent atmosphere. We are a family with small children and this was a very good hotel choice for us 😊

Huoneisto ei vastaa kuvattua

Huoneiston siisteys ja taso tuotti pettymyksen, ei vastaa millään tavalla esittelyn valokuvia. Kuvat otettu rannalla sijaitsevasta uudemmasta rakennuksesta kun taas itse huoneisto oli selvästi vanhemmasta rakennuksesta tien toiselta puolelta. Vain uima allas kuvat näyttäisi olevan sieltä otettu. Kuvat kannattaisi ehdottomasti päivittää sillä hotelli valinta perustuu pitkälti niihin joten pettymys on väistämätön. Huoneistojen sisustus todella ankea. Vaatekaappia ei voinut edes avata sieltä tulevan vahvan homeenhajun takia. Ilmastointi ei automaattisesti kuulu huoneistoon vaan se täytyy erikseen hakea respasta silloin kun siellä sattuu joku olemaan. Meillä ensimmäinen yö +30 asteessa hikoiltiin ilman koska ketään ei ollut sisään tullessaan vastaanottamassa. Avaimet odotti ovessa, ikkunat auki tuuletustarkoituksessa mutta hyttysiä sisällä niin paljon. Sisään mennessä tunkkainen kuumuus ja homeen haju oli päällimmäiset fiilikset. Ilmastointi auttoi näihin. Koko hotellin yleisilme ja kunto 80 luvulta. Julkisivua siistitty.

Die Unterkunft ist der Kategorie entsprechend. Die beiden Schlafmöglichkeiten im Wohnraum sind nur bedingt tauglich. Das Frühstück hätte etwas umfangreicher sein können. es fehlte frisches Obst und vor allem eine größere Brotauswahl. Super war die Nähe zum Strand Seaside.

So, where do I start. No one was ever at the front desk even during “open” times. The food bar was mediocre at best. Our shower head broke on first use, couldn’t find anyone to fix ( about 4pm ) till following morning. Used as a water hose till fixed. The shower was soooo small the curtain touched you everywhere. So I felt so dirty after each shower. The shower was so small it gets the bathroom floor wet. They provide squeegee for you to get water off floor into drain. Our drain was not even with floor or under floor level so it took pushing the water into it with purpose vs it draining right. They provide a floor towel, that’s great, but when the whole floor becomes a pool that towel does nothing! Our bathroom sink dripped too. Went looking for a maid or the office worker for more big towels after they cleaned our room the next day and they took our big towels and floor towel, but didn’t return them. Left a bunch of hand towels ( kitchen towel size) but low and behold couldn’t find anyone at 630 pm again during open hours. So I dried off with a small towel. Customer service sucked. Rude when I did find them and asked where I should go for help. Like I shouldn’t be needing help. I read the reviews before reserving this. I only looked at recent within the last 6 months ones. Looked good. IT LIED! It was dreadful. Between wet floors, no clock, the tv in the room as promised is great but it doesn’t have cable so blue screen it is, or snow. No welcome book with local eateries.

Little Gem of a hotel

The Koukouras is a delightful hotel. The owner was very helpful and kindly drove me to my friends' hotel nearby on several occasions. Spotlessly clean suite, large bedroom, comfortable bed and good qualty pillows, wardrobe and cupboard space for clothes, toiletries etc. dressing table with large miror. Spacious lounge with dining table and coffee table, well equipped kitchenette, shower room with fitted hairdryer, own patio with table and chairs. Very clean swimming pool and ample sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs. Lots of shops and cafes nearby but quiet and peaceful at the hotel. Bus stop two minutes walk but taxis readily available at reasonable price. I can certainly recommend this hotel and will be amongst the many returning guests.

Not what we booked!

We arrived to Koukouras hotel late at night. At the reception told us that we would get a bigger appartment in a sister hotel and they drove us there. The hotel is located about 5 minutes drive, which is not that bad. The bad thing is that the appartments are on the top of a hill. Without a car it is really unpleasant. The appartment was fine but this is not what we expected due to the location. On the next day we advise the staff that we would like to move to the hotel originally booked and they said that they did not have a room available and offer to drive us up and down whenever we wanted. The problem is that noone was there when we needed the transportation. The last day we called the lady by phone because we did not want to carry our luggage. At the beginning she said she would pick us up but she just sent a taxi down to the hotel. When she saw us, she asked if we paid the taxi. The appartment as said was nice, with a pool but it does not make a lot of sense without having a car. The appartment was not cleaned during the 4 days we stayed there so we did not really benefit from the "standards" offered in a hotel. The staff told us from the first day that the best transportation to the city would be a taxi. Afterwards we found a bus stop just in front of the hotel, with regular drives every 15 minutes. The hotel did took benefit of the company taxi working with them and we felt completely lied. For 1 night we could unterstand the overbooking, but rest was a lie.
