"Marula is a brand new place with two lovely houses and a nice swimmingpool, all surrounded by a big garden. The location is very close to the beautiful beach, with the nice beachbar 'Ali Baba & The Fourty Thieves' nearby. The staff at Marula's is very friendly. They helped us perfectly by making a nice tour to Shimba Hills. Despite the last part of the raining season, we enjoyed the days we spent here."

"This was a complete mess. To start, they forgot about our reservation and had to put us in a temporary room for two days. During this time, there was a blackout that no one thought to update us on. Honestly, that temporary room was the best part of the stay. Our official room had a roach infestation and, when I told the host, he had a fumigation company come and spray while our bags were in there (of course, this ended up with roaches running into one of our bags). "I cannot state enough how happy we were in the villa. Everything was like advertised and more. From the moment we booked Sylvia was reaponsive and quite helpful. When we arrived James was waiting and helped with our luggage and showed us around. Edith ensured the place was meticulously clean and Mwamba tge guard ensured our safety and easy access back when we went put. The e ntire team made sure our stay amd family reunion was A1. "We had a wonderful time! The cottage is close to the pool, a short walk to the beach, and a short Tuk Tuk ride to some great local restaurants and an ample supermarket! It was everything I anticipated! The bed was super comfy, and nice to have air conditioning overnight! Kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and pans etc. Everyone on the little compound were so helpful, and offered additional support, advice and recommendations! I look forward to returning! "

"Beautiful all inclusive resort on Diani Beach, about an hour drive from Mombasa International Airport. I had the sea facing Deluxe Room which was absolutely beautiful and spacious. A shuttle is available for a fee to pick you up or drop off at airport. Days have low tide so you can walk on the beach. Resort has Pullman Tours office that can book off base excursions as well as book a snorkeling trip to the sand bar during low tide. I recommend the Mombasa city tour as they take you to the Akamba Market that has 2500 wood carving artists that sell their crafts at excellent prices and most of the money goes directly to the artist. Meals include buffets with food and desserts from around the world. Egg stations available in the morning for scrambles/omelettes and pasta stations at lunch/dinner as well as many other foods. Gym available for a daily fee. Recommend getting a massage at the Spa! Rooms are seaside so you hear ocean roar while receiving an amazing massage. Resort offers several pools- one of which is an adults only. Overall amazing stay. Would stay again- highly recommend! "

"We upgraded to stay in a villa closest to the beach. Well worth the extra money! The resort is located right on Diani Beach. The beach and ocean views are breathtaking. There are many activities offered to the guests. We went scuba diving, glass bottom boat ride, rode a camel, jet skiing and played volleyball. The food and drinks were very good. You won't be hungry or thirsty during your stay. The staff are amazing. Edward from the front desk was very helpful and a pleasure to meet."

"Great property. Excellent food and friendly staff Property needs some love. Showing signs of wear and tear. Rooms very average. Comfortable but definitely needs to be spruced up. Beach is very clean and safe. Had a great time. Food options. Lots of Indian cuisine. Got tired of it after a couple of days. Not much seafood. Please add more international choices in the Buffett "

"This resort was the most Magical and Peaceful place I've ever stayed. The staff deserves a raise because of how attentive and nice they were. The breakfast was so delicious and there was endless options to choose from. I enjoyed my stay so much I didn't want to leave the property. The only suggestion I would have is to offer dessert on their menu. But I would recommend Tombo House to anyway who wants to enjoy nature and wants to get away from the boring ambience of chain hotels."
