"All was 5 star, except the Air Conditioning. It's been my second stay in the last 2 months, so I'm comparing 2 different rooms, however, there was a common problem. The air velocity was far too hign making the rooms uncomfortable. The primary air is delivered to each room at a far too high velocity above the area of the windows. There is then a sceondary system giving some room by room options. If you put your own room system off it does nothing to the primary air delivery. I was so pleased to get home last night and not feel cold in bed. I'm sure many other people will have noticed this and have experienced discomfort. It's a shame that such a basic problem overshadowed a wonderful venue. I will not visit again until the owners do someting to resolve, so I suppose my vote is underwhelming."

"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and in fact extended my stay by one day. The room allocated was very nice, comfortable, clean and from the small balcony I had a lovely view across the bay to Gibraltar and Algeciras. The room had a fridge and coffee making facilities. The room was cleaned each day. The breakfast provided by the hotel was satisfactory with hot and cold options available. I used the small gym each day of my stay. There was a small selection of weights and a couple of running / cross training machines. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the town centre where there is a wide range of cafes, bars, restaurants for eating out if you don’t want to dine in the hotel. The only negative thing I would note was that on arrival I asked where the advertised outdoor pool was and was advised that there was no pool. The outdoor pool is part of the advertised facilities and is also mentioned in the floor guide in the lift. I had selected the hotel in part because of the advertised outdoor pool. Disappointing."

"This was my second visit to this gem in Gibraltar. We stayed for 3 night over Easter, staying in a room with a terrace and views over the bay. I love the appearance of the hotel, the warm welcome, the location overlooking the Botanical Gardens, the swimming pool and the excellent food. The restaurant offered a wide choice of breakfast items, and a reasonably broad dinner menu. Unlike the last time I was here in 2014, the room safe was free to use - a big step forward. On arrival we noticed that the floor of our room felt gritty underfoot. Although we asked housekeeping to vacuum the floor the next time they were in, this didn’t happen. In every other way the housekeeping was good: replacing the towels, making the bed, etc. But the floor still felt like it needed a good vacuuming / mopping. Overall, I still love this hotel and plan to return in the near future."
