Hotel Centrale Byron

6/10 Okay

"Probably the best location in town. Easy to get to all the sights, and there’s a gelato place right across the little street. The staff were very helpful and nice in every way. Breakfast did not offer as much variety as we expected (no cheese or cold cuts), but it was plentiful and nice enough. A typical 3star hotel, but beginning to show its age so needs some updating."

"This is a beautiful hotel in central Ravenna, with a short walk to the train station, 6 of the main Unesco mosaic sites, the Dante tomb, shopping and restaurants. We had one of the Traditional rooms, which was very big, with a ceiling painting and nice sized bathroom. The breakfast includes coffee and tea prepared as you like and a buffet of cold items with alot of variety. The staff is friendly. Lots of nice sitting rooms inside and outside. And bowls of candy and chocolates available."

"The breakfast was amazing. As a Canadian having travelled in Italy for two weeks at that point it was such a treat to have some eggs in the morning! Very friendly staff and a great location. Next to the beach. Nearby are some great restos, bars, and a grocery store to pick things up for cheap. Pretty city and ripping around on scooters was fun. Definitely come here to use the beach though. If city/culture chasing is your jam this city (not the hotel) is not suited for that. Think Italy's Yucatan!"

"The hotel is ok but nothing fancy or modern. The entire building needs attention, walls are dirty with scratches or partially painted. The shower has multiple sports with mold around the silicone or tile joints. TVs are very small. Breakfast was ok but not the best pastry. Parking is available at not cost If going to the cruise terminal there is a shuttle service for $15 euros per person."
