Cenote Calavera

Where do I begin. When I arrived for checking the power was out but the receptionist failed to let me know and let me walk into hot dark room. They gave me an interim room which was such a downgrade compared to the SUITE that I had. They kept saying sorry for the inconvenience but I paid good money for the room I selected so I figured they would upgrade instead of downgrade. I spent my entire first day going back and forth with concierge trying to get better accommodations. They eventually upgraded me to a master suite and there were ants EVERYWHERE, the water was brown and I saw 2 roaches on my room!!! There were water leaks all over the hotel and I was borderline harassed every single day to go to a timeshare presentation. The best thing about the whole experience was the food and entertainment. Although I have a million and one issues, the staff was very friendly, the beach view was amazing and the spa was nice. Overall, I would not recommend.

We had an amazing stay at AVA Resort Cancun! 🌴✨ From the beautiful resort and amazing pools to the restaurants, service, and overall atmosphere, everything was fantastic. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, especially Paola, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. ❤️ The resort is beautiful, modern, clean, and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back again! Thank you AVA Resort for making our trip so memorable! 🌊☀️
