Our family of three enjoyed a quiet weekend here.
This cottage is a good value, with comfortable interior and all the amenities you would hope for.
We loved the huge yard and the backyard fire pit.
No neighbors within view and light traffic on the road out front made the experience quiet and enjoyable.
Communication with our host was excellent.
Would book this property again.
So close to Gallagher farms and the wedding we attended that this cute house also let us explore the Lelanau bike path and down town traverse city. Natural creek in the back yard was perfect to recover from a long run. The house is cute and perfect for our small family with a small doggie. The location was phenomenal and the management was w to our random concerns.
The property was so incredible; no neighbors, super quiet, lots of amenities, very clean, centrally located. Dog friendly for my senior dog. Beautifully updated, and an incredible value for the quality of property. Thank you so much!
Couldn’t ever find such a nice place that is so dog friendly! Molly, golden retriever, remembered it from last year. We’ll be back next year. Traverse is also cool this time of year.
The property was very neat, clean and ready for a quiet stay. Pet bowls were provided for our miniature poodle as well as a leash and even a "doggie raincoat." The house had a "cottage" feel in addition to a warm charm and a nice backyard setting for evening relaxation. The rooms were nicely arrayed so as to add both privacy and accessibility to the service areas. A real treat!!
The house is very clean and well decorated. The property is super nice with a killer back yard and flowers everywhere. It is extremely close to downtown Traverse and reasonably close to Leelanau, Suttons Bay, Lealand etc. Unfortunately, we had some power issues after some rain but the management team responded promptly and the electric company was there and servicing the transformer within an hour. Great location and great host...thank you!
Very nice property, good location for both accessing Traverse City and the Leelanau peninsula. Good communication from host, clear instructions. Cottage was very clean but the living room furniture had a clear noticeable dog smell. Wifi worked fine, but no local tv reception (streaming was fine). Very satisfied, no other complaints.
We stayed for a few days and the property was fine. Quick responses from management when needed. This is a pet friendly space and there was a lot of pet hair throughout the home so keep that in mind if you have sensitivity/allergies. Also, there were a lot of bees on the property so we weren’t able to enjoy the yard as much as we had hoped. The price difference from VRBO to the property management website was really shocking - really surprised to see how much we could have saved NOT booking through VRBO so that was really unfortunate. There was a nice park nearby that we visited frequently and it was a quick drive to downtown and amenities.
The house and properly are so cute. The house is small but could use a little better on the air circulation. We were there and it was rainy and the house seemed to be very damp (as were our clothes). I did speak with the management company and gave them feed back and hope that they can use it. I wish the weather would have been more cooperative so we could have done more outside by using the firepit, swing and other outdoor games. The wi-fi/internet/service is not the best (but you are in the woods). For our family needs, I think we'll need more bathrooms, but the space in the bathroom was adequate. We really enjoyed it despite some issues.
This is a great property, and the property management company was outstanding with wonderful communication. The cottage was very clean and well furnished with a wonderful, secluded back yard. One minor suggestion would be to provide kitchen/dish towels.
We had a lovely stay in the Cedar Creek Cottage, it's perfectly located for running into the city or farther north up the peninsula. Just a comfortable, quiet location, and we really enjoyed our stay.
We loved the fire pit area stocked with kindling, wood and s’more sticks. Convenient location. The house was clean and had everything to make a very comfortable stay.
The property is located in a great location, the property inside and outside was very clean. The property was well equipped with just about anything you need to have a comfortable stay, such as a new outdoor grill, an enclosed garage, a washer / dryer and any cleaning supplies you may need. The outside property is wonderful for a family fire, a great childs swing near the creek and very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend for a family of 4.
Cute old cottage. No air conditioning, it was stuffy, couldn’t open windows. No lights in back yard, so when going out to fire pit, it was dangerous! The bottom rusted out from fire pit and set the ground(mulch) on fire! Went to get water to put out fire and fell(I am 74) because of it being so dark! No dishwasher either! Would not go back. Maybe for young couple with kids.
Wow! Huge lot, no traffic, super convenient to downtown town TC and Sleeping Bear Dunes area. The place was the CLEANEST Vrbo we have ever stayed at. Also the best property for staying with a dog that we have EVER visited. Over the four days we stayed we got 10-12 inches of snow, and they kept the driveway cleared. Highly recommend. Also, Traverse City, MI is a great place to visit in winter.
This is a sweet spot! It was perfect for the two of us and would accommodate another couple or kids! The back yard area is wonderful with a lovely creek. We sat out every evening with our pup Rosey! She loved it too! We were in Traverse meeting with builder and interior folks who are building our retirement home. It was a prefect spot to sit back and relax after some busy days. Absolutely no doubt we will rent this again as we return diring house progress.
Our family stayed here in early February (two adults and one 20-month-old). The location is great - within 10-15 minutes of Great Wolf Lodge, the Children's Museum, local library, and downtown Traverse City. The house was very neat and clean, and had everything we needed. There is no dishwasher, but that was not an issue for us. There is a fire pit in the backyard and other toys and games in the detached garage. Katy was excellent to work with, and was very responsive with answering any questions we had. Check in and check out were simple as well! Thank you, Katy, for allowing us to experience your home!
The house was in a great area with an awesome back yard to sit by the fire at night and play some yard games, and for coffee in the morning, while listening to the stream that runs through the yard. The house is within 35 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, and Fish town in Leeland. Traverse City is only minutes away. Beds were comfortable. Booking was extremely easy, and communications with Katy was pleasant, and timely. There are no dressers in the bedrooms. There are closets though, and in the main bedroom there is a bench at the end of the bed that was big enough to hold a duffle bag, and one carry on suitcase. I was happy they had fans in the bedrooms, because the house does not have central air, it just has a wall unit in the living room. You would not want to open the windows for air at night, because there were no screens. That being said, we were there during some hot days, and we did fine.
This cozy place made for a great stay for our family during our trip up north. The setting is beautiful and close to everything, while being just enough away from the busyness to relax. Clean and well appointed. Would highly recommend.
