The Zen Den

The Zen Den has that cozy, cabin feel but is close enough to walk to Southern Utah University, the SUMA art museum, the Shakespeare Theatre, and the historic downtown. Cedar City is known for being safe and friendly, so if you’re up for a stroll, you’re in the perfect spot.

The Zen Den has two comfy bedrooms, one bathroom, and a cozy little loft the kids will love.

•The master bedroom has a king-size bed with easy access to the bathroom.

•The guest bedroom has a comfy queen bed.

•The living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa.

•A twin rollaway bed is available for additional guests.

The loft is a cozy little hideaway, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. If you need an extra spot to sleep, there’s a twin-size air mattress available—just a heads-up, it’s up to you to set it up and take it down during your stay.

Note: The backyard is shared with another unit, The Fortress, located just behind The Zen Den. So you may run into other guests—and maybe even some friendly pups! The yard is fully fenced, so it’s perfect for a bit of dog-friendly fun—just remember to clean up after them! The back yard is not attached to The Zen Den.

Just a heads-up, our place has an evaporative cooler instead of central AC. It does a great job keeping things cool, especially for our area. Just want to make sure everyone's on the same page about what to expect!

Take some time to unwind on the porch swing and soak up the stunning views of the red mountains and breathtaking sunsets. And if you’re in the mood to explore, the scenic Coal Creek trail in Canyon Park is just across the street!

This was a comfortable place to stay, and has a very good feeling inside. We liked the location. The new shower was very nice. Had a fenced yard for our dog so that was a real plus. Felt private. The kitchen lacked a baking sheet (which we routinely use for roasting vegetables) and there was not a baking dish, and we could not find a cutting board, other than that it was well stocked.

42nd anniversary getaway

Love the place

It was a great central location for all Bryce Canyon and Zion so much to see. The American diner was are go to for breakfast. The college was beautiful and we were lucky enough to catch a play during the Shakespeare festival.

It Was Awesome!

If travelers to Cedar City are searching for a property that is incredibly clean, has a wonderful location along with a host who communicates with his guests - this is the place to reserve! The location is perfect-walking distance to Cedar City Downtown with its shops and restaurants. More important, this home is spotlessly clean and provides wonderful, comfortable beds and bedding for guests. Finally, Gerardo is a perfect host. He provided us with clear check-in instructions, activity suggestions for the area and check-out guidelines. We were fortunate to find this property and hope to return!

Small (cozy) place to rest your head in Cedar City

The place was clean, easy to find, and easy to check in to. The bedrooms and bathroom were as described, and the kitchen was fully functional. The swamp cooler unit was very noisy and did a good job of cooling the main spaces, but the bedrooms were a bit stuffy. The photos of the "backyard" were misleading, because they appear to be part of the neighboring unit, and not part of the Zen Den. Fortunately, we found a park a few blocks away where we were able to walk our dogs. While the location worked for our one-night stay, we would probably choose some of the other places in Cedar City where we have stayed on other occasions if we were to travel here again.

This is a great little place on the outskirts of Cedar City, but still walkable to Main Street for Food, Drinks and Fun. Our pups LOVED the fenced in grass backyard. Well priced too, can't wait until we can go back. Hopefully The Zen Den will be available for our travel dates, but it will probably be booked up. Thanks again Gerald!
