We had a wonderful stay - house has everything we could possibly need, and accommodated us, our kids (10&12) and my parents (70s) all comfortably. Couldn’t beat the location and lake front, close enough to necessities (laundromat, grocery, etc) and some restaurant options as well.
This house is small but worked perfectly for my husband and our two teenagers. Very quiet and peaceful location. Loved the kayaks! We would definitely book again 😊
The property is in a great location for exploring the region. Ideal for 2 or 3 people . Lots of outdoor seating.
It has a narrow underpass to get through, right before the cottage, so big vans and SUV's might find it hairy to get there.
Exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and life in NYC.
Peaceful lake with spectacular sunsets while sitting on the back balcony were perfect. Nights spent around the fire pit staring and counting the stars. Days spent exploring towns with history such as Seneca Falls and Auburn, lunches at nearby wineries and a tour of montezuma nature preserve and a cheese farm made the trip memorable.
The house is exactly as pictured, beautiful and quaint plus comfortable.
Note: Only thing we felt it needed was ice cube trays and salt and pepper shakers. But we made due with a local market close by.
Overall a Great stay and highly recommended.
Thank you

Beautiful location, C+ experience
The cottage needed a deep clean and some general maintenance to really feel comfortable: there were lightbulbs burned out, shower curtain rings missing, dirty handprints on the walls, slider screen door mesh ripped out of frame, and the patio umbrella on the top deck ripped/bent. Also, the bunk beds are definitely sized more for young kids and not my college age children—my daughter ended up sleeping on the couch all week. We also didn’t see the email about “additional property information”, and discovered when we got there that there was a very narrow underpass you had to get through to reach the property. Our f-150 BARELY fit through it (side mirrors had to be folded in and inches to spare on either side of the truck). That was the negative, but the views were beautiful and our family did truly enjoy the week and the time together. The lake is enormous and I’d definitely recommend renting a boat to get to experience the whole thing!
We really enjoyed our stay! It was so quiet and peaceful, just what we needed. There was a beautiful view and we got to experience a few gorgeous sunsets (attached a couple photos from 2 different nights). It was very handy to all the places we wanted to visit, too (great food close by, as well)! We would recommend to anyone!
This location is perfect! It is a beautiful property on a lovely piece of the lake. We enjoyed all the outdoor seating, the grill and fire pit. The house was comfortable and perfect for four adults. We would absolutely stay again.
My wife and I needed a short getaway so we headed for the Finger Lakes. Lake view Cottage was exactly as we expected. Quiet, and while there were neighbors it was very peaceful. Would highly recommend this place.
Beautiful cheerful cottage. Loved it. It had everything you would ever think you might need. Beautiful yard with nice fire pit. Saw Doe and fawn, tons of rabbits, woodchuck, weasel, orphan kitten, eagle and ospreys!! Tunnel to drive thru is very cool not scary to drive through. Love the train. Squished coins on the tracks. Spacious kitchen and bath. Loved it.
House was exactly as pictured. Excellent location right on the lake. Easy drive to the other lakes and state parks for site seeing and excursions.
The small railway bridge tunnel requires a slow going but was not passable for most .
Overall, a clean and comfortable property. Recommend
BUG INFESTED!!!! do NOT Stay here! The bed was infested with bugs. And finger lakes premier properties refuses to refund despite sharing video of the bugs. Horrible horrible experience
My family had a wonderful stay, despite the rain. Cute nautical-themed cottage, clean and family-friendly. Sleeps “six” in a two bedroom one bathroom home, but that includes a small bunk bed. We were not clear on what we were able to use in the basement so did not touch anything. Never got access to internet (one of us taking an online class) despite several phone calls. Otherwise, super cute, fun, and functional and would rent again.
The location was absolutely beautiful! There were a lot of pro’s and con’s and things that could have made the stay a little more pleasant:Pro’s: great A/C, great views, nice well stocked kitchen, good floaties. Con’s: many attractions are a 20-45 min drive, mattresses are old and uncomfortable, pilot light doesn’t work on stove and needs matches, slider light switches push in to turn on (we thought initially that the overhead lights didn’t work until the handyman showed us the next day), second bedroom has no room to walk around and no clothes storage (need to move out bunk beds and put in a dresser), we initially couldn’t find garbage cans and found that they were at the end of the main road, could clean out a cabinet for food storage. Some of these problems could have been prevented by a more helpful list of hints on the refrigerator!Overall, it’s a nice place, but it’s small at 700 sq ft. There is only one sofa in the LR and 4 places at the dining room table, so it should be rated for 2-4 people only.

Misleading
They didn’t tell us until a week or so before our trip that the very narrow tunnel would be difficult to pass through with our midsize suv. We wouldn’t have chosen this property because of that. Internet was horrible! Could barely even watch the tv. Couldn’t get into the house; code wasn’t working. They finally gave us another code, said the battery was probably bad. We didn’t want them coming into the house to fix the code box, but they came anyway when we weren’t home. Wish there was a microwave! Fishing poles were in terrible shape.
This is a beautiful location for sitting out, campfires, and lake bird watching. Cottage was stocked with plenty of pots, pans, cutlery, etc. Lots of outdoor seating area as shown Housekeeping was very responsive. The cottage has its charm, and it’s quirks. The charm is the gathering space, bar seating, at the kitchen counter, the deck overlooking the lake, and the willow tree providing shade. The quirks being front door banks into porch light, some table surfaces are cluttered and not really usable but take up space. None of this would keep us from coming back in a heartbeat. It was a wonderful location and a very enjoyable stay.
The only access to the house is a gravel road that runs under a small, very narrow railroad tunnel. We arrived in the dark, and were shocked & not certain our car would fit through. It did, but we feel we should have been warned. The house itself is just as advertised - right on the Lake with great outdoor space. Inside, there is no central heat and no dishwasher. The second bedroom has a full bed and bunk beds stuffed into a very small space. I think taking the bunks out & advertising it sleeps 4 rather than 6 would make more sense.
We rented this house for a long weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. It is perfectly situated, so many options for outside seating -the deck, the yard or the outdoor patio. The lake view is beautiful. We enjoyed the kayaks during the day and the outdoor fire at night. The house was neat when we arrived, but could of been cleaner. Overall everything else was perfect. Thank you!
