Lovely hotel, amazing breakfast!! If you are from the US, understand that king sized bed is closer to the size of our queen bed. We would absolutely recommend the hotel and would stay here again!

Hotel is very well maintained, clean and furnished to a high standard. My room was spotless, quiet and the bed very comfortable - I slept well. I ate dinner there (steak and Guinness pie was great) and breakfast was perfect. I will be back next time I’m working in that area.

My only issue is that having a room facing ‘the square’ I was woken around 5am by the traffic. They know that the light is ridiculously slow and joke about on a notice in the lift. Good breakfast

Ferry from UK was 2 hours late so I arrived at the Hotel very late at night. Hotel Manager and Receptionist couldn’t do enough for me, including carrying my heavy bag up to the room as the Lift wasn’t working! Great night’s sleep in a lovely room and a great breakfast set me up for my stay. I can recommend the Castle Varagh Hotel to anyone wanting to visit the area.

have stayed before, and will no doubt be back again. The famously slow lift (!) wasn't available when we left, but a staff member helpfully guided round the convoluted route to the stairs (lucky we didn't need to find it alone and in a hurry). The food in the restaurant was good, although we didn't try the breakfast. Overall a nice hotel with helpful staff

This place was amazing! Very deceptive from the outside. - very nondescript when looking at it, but inside it was classy and comfortable. Breakfast was as if you were at a 5-star restaurant - table service, ambience was terrific and staff were fabulous.
