Beautiful rural setting. We had a lovely stay. Friendly, welcoming staff, lovely room with comfortable bed and perfectly cooked food! We will stay here again.
Just stayed one night, staff there very friendly and helpful - had a lovely evening meal with home cooked food and a great breakfast! Its an old fashioned hotel but its got character - drive up to the hotel is lovely, nice and quiet

2 Night Stay
It was very good overall, the service was attentive and friendly.
Overnight stay. Due to our own problems could not check in arriving after 12mn very good instructions to gain entry and directions to room. Breakfast made to order delicious and plentiful. Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas.
The views from the hotel are amazing . The staff and very friendly , informative and helpful . Our room was very spacious with views over the fields (room 20.) Very clean and tidy .
Breakfast very good and sets you up for the day . Pre dinner cocktails sitting in the garden an added bonus . Dinner exceptional and in particular the curries !
Would highly recommend staying at Ernespie again .
Anyone travelling with children the neighbouring Ernespie Farm and play area is ideal .
Thank you Ernespie .

Fabulous grounds but the hotel itself is in need of serious refurbishment. Our room still had wood chip wallpaper on the walls. That said the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
We stayed in a family room, which was quite spacious and nice. The host was excellent and helpful about things to do in the area and the hotel restaurant was fabulous!

A hotel with tonnes of potential (one to watch)
The food (home made curry) and all the staff were great.
The hotel needs some maintenance and a little more of a clean in some areas (cob webs in corners).
Excellent food and great choice.
Bar prices very reasonable.
Great location to Castle Douglas in very well maintained grounds.
Staff and manager so lovely, friendly, caring.
