"Nous avons partagé une très joyeuse semaine au château de Moncla entre amis. Les enfants ont adoré profiter de la grande piscine mais également de l’ambiance chevaleresque du château. Les grands se sont régalés avec le terrain de tennis, ombragé une grande partie de la journée, avec la table de ping pong, la grande cuisine, le piano et la fraîcheur du château durant les fortes chaleurs. "We were transported back to the 13th century which is the age of this beautifully restored gîte. Our hosts Pascal and Christine were welcoming and answered all our questions about the area. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Local amenities such as a foie gras cooperative and boulangerie in nearby Riguepeu and Vic Fezensac were part of our feeling of being at home among new friends."

"We enjoyed hot, sunny, cloudless days and made good use of the shady parts of the garden which affords total privacy and looks out over a reservoir. The property is fairly remote, with no shops or restaurants within easy walking distance so a car is essential. Accommodation is not as spacious as it seems on the website but it was fine for two of us and there is obviously work still going on to renovate other parts of the building. Decor is stylish and the kitchen is well-equipped."

"The gite exceeded our expectations and Bruno was an amazing host/neighbour who made sure our stay was everything we wanted. The property is lovely and was really cool during a very hot August. The gardens offered cool shade and a plenty full supply of fresh fruit. And then there was the lake which was just gorgeous. Just so good in so many ways....we will back 😊"

"This place is run by an older French couple, who did not speak much English (nor did we speak much French), but they were brilliant and warm the whole time. Free parking right by the place, pretty easy to find as long as you have a working SatNav/GPS. Would recommend this place."

"Salvador is a great host and very helpful. We really enjoyed our short stay. We stayed during a heatwave so the room was fairly warm in spite of Salvador's efforts to cook it down. But, he is working in improving that. And to be fair, the weather was exceptionally hot! The pool is excellent and certainly made to for it. "

"This property was well worth the 30 hour travel time to marvel in its sophisticated charm and comfort!!! The property it self is majestic!!! Wonderful gardens!!! Elegant swimming pool!!! Very clean surroundings!! Well equipped kitchen. And delicious breakfast. The Housemade yogurt was my favorite!! We were there for a wedding at another location with 30 guests from the United States. We decided to skip a dinner with the group and had Clement, the host, cook for us!! Being a chef myself for 30+ years, what an INCREDIBLE experience!!! ALL fresh from local farms within 3 miles!!! Alfresco dinning by the pool!!! I won't give it 5 stars. I WILL, however give it ALL the stars in the universe!! A M U S T stay!!! Thank you Clement and your beautiful wife for making our experience absolutely wonderful!!!"
