We LOVED our stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Any questions, concerns, need of recommendations we had was taken care of quickly and always with the best attitude. The breakfast food was delicious! The hotel is walkable and central to all tourist attractions in the historic center. I definitely recommend it.

This is a quaint small hotel located in the walled city. The rooms are great but beware of the ones that are facing the street because Cartagena can be noisy at night. Super nice pool, perfect to cool down after all the walking around the city. The best part of this hotel? The people who work here are just wonderful! Friendly and always have a smile, a recommendation and sometimes a glass of cold wine before you head out to enjoy the night in Cartagena. Another wonderful thing is the breakfast! To die for… you will enjoy fresh fruits and juices. Yummy Colombian foods if you feel adventurous or pancakes and waffles if you are missing home. I want to thank Martin from reception and Juan Camilo from the hotel staff for making our stay wonderful.

I had a very good experience with my stay at Casa de Coliseo. First when I arrived I was greeted by Christian checked us in and provided us with a map of Cartagena and suggestions for food, drinks, tourist attractions, money exchange etc. When he says “I’m here to serve you” he really is. I must have called him several times throughout the day and he was helpful and pleasant each time. Now the hotel is very safe and secure. Doors to the hotel have a camera and electric buzzer to be let in. Hotel is beautiful, the furniture and architecture throughout capture a very colonial feel with rustic touch. Everyday I would see staff cleaning everyday day keeping the hotel tidy and clean. Breakfast lounge and balcony are wonderful with good view of the busy streets. Breakfast was included with a good and fresh selection. I stayed in the standard room which wasn’t big but the bed was cozy and pillows were awesome (I had great deep sleep). Bathroom and shower was nice with hot water. Staff is very attentive, rooms were always clean when we stepped out and when we would go out for dinner beds were prepped for us to come in and get rest. Room had typical amenities. The location was also a plus cause everything was just a 1 -10 min walk. There is a pharmacy across the street just in case you need it. Lastly distance from hotel to airport is like 15-20 min. I highly recommend and would stay again.
