The best feature of this spot is a lake view while dining. The decorum is like a dingy Dennys. The Bartender was awesome. Counter clerk acted like she's over worked. The portable ac unit didnt work in my room, so they gave me another room. Nothing great to say about this run down place except there arent many places to choose from in that area. Good luck.

It was easy to check in, staff were helpful. It's an easy stop off place between journeying by road, seemed to be mostly older folk visiting for the casino. The restaurant was reasonably priced, not much else in the area, and the waiter was super polite and could not be more helpful. The view over the lake at sunrise was beautiful and the lake is pretty and quiet. The only downside was the most noisy aircon ever - i switched it off only to hear neighbouring aircon units just as much so i switched ours back on again!!

This is my favorite stop to stay at for years now in my frequent drives between Los Angeles and Reno. The restaurant is great, the view of the lake is wonderful, the staff is fantastic and the associated general store and gas station are an added plus. I will continue staying there as long as it is there to stay at!!

The room was comfortable and very clean. It has a beautiful lake view. The only negative was that the forced air heating did not work, so the only HVAC was an air conditioner and a "radiator", both rollaways.

The Staff was polite and friendly, parking was simple & had EV charging units, gas station with market. Casino within the lodge with easy quick payouts. Plus the restaurant was convenient and good service.

Die Rezeption befindet sich im Casino. Hier darf geraucht werden. Dieses ist für Nichtraucher unangenehm. Wenig Steckdosen, keine USB Anschlüsse. Im Gang vor den Zimmern ist es recht geräuschvoll. Man hört die Schritte. Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, es gibt Shampoo, Seife und Conditioner. Ausreichend Handtücher.

The property wasn't that crowded and they assigned our room the absolute farthest from casino and restaurant on the 3rd floor on the third farthest building that we did not know existed. We are senior's and feel nobody gives a darn anymore about old people.

Buildings were a little old, so we could hear every step from our upstairs neighbor. The room was very clean and the restaurant was great. We booked while traveling through, but the views of the lake were beautiful and worth the stay.

Pros: room was very clean; convenient location; restaurant on-site has late hours which is good for travelers; great view of Topaz Lake; staff was friendly & generally responsive; complimentary shampoo and conditioner were appreciated; large TV with what appeared to be cable or direct TV (we didn't get a chance to use the TV but I'm sure others would appreciate it); convenience store on-site with very helpful staff; free wi-fi and parking; iron & board available upon request. Cons: While staff at motel was friendly, some are in need of additional training (we asked the front desk for help locating our room as we could not find it, and were literally told that our guess was as good as theirs & good luck finding it). Some of the site materials are in need of clarification and/or updates (eg multiple buildings on site but signage not clear as to which building was which). Room was dated, dark, & strangely appointed; brown water from the tap every time we used it; stairs in need of repair; bathroom quite small with a narrow, short shower not suited for anyone over 6' (such as my husband); sink was oddly low (I'm 5'3 & it was low even for me); no counter or space for toiletries in bathroom; lacked outlets in the room in general & had none near the bathroom; no full length mirror & the only large-ish mirror was in a corner of the room that had no light source, so was kind of pointless; no microwave or refrigerator; bed was overly firm & springy.

Photos show swimming pool full of water. Pool was actually filled in with sand a few years ago. i had called a few days before check in to request a room with "NO STAIRS" and left a number to call back with confirmation. Never received a call. Questioned why we didn't receive a call back and gentleman as very rude. stating it was the morning staffs job to check messages. Our rooms were not cleaned and towels/ toiletries replaced as scheduled. We called the front desk and the same gentleman said he would take care of it. 3 hours later we had to make another call and a female answered apologizing i was not taken care of and we were then serviced with towels within 10 minutes. The gentleman working the counter is not a prime candidate for handling customer service and should be replaced.
